I have 100 to lose - lost 30 so far! Would welcome friends!

You look awesome - never be nervous about progress! You are an inspiration!

For me, it was about 20-25. I have only gone down one whole size (but truth be told, I was a size 22, and it was TIGHT, so I guess I should've been a 24). Now, I am in a 20, comfortably - not sucking my stomach in, not gasping for breath because pants are too tight. I have gone down TWO sizes on top - but I always lose in…

I don't know you, but this was listed as a topic in the right side bar and I clicked - and I am amazed at your fortitude, determination and success so far. You look amazing, and I am proud of you! It will help me to stay motivated thinking about your own journey. Keep up the wonderful posts and know there are people out…

I had a short-term goal of 25 lbs by June 1st, and I did it! On to the next 25!

I have to say, I don't read a lot of posts because so many of them don't help me. APPLAUSE for this one - best one I've read and one that, when I finished, I felt good about "what works for me"!!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
-
Congratulations - you are so inspiring!

CONGRATULATIONS! That is amazing - and I KNOW you are SO proud. It has to be an incredible feeling - keep up the good work!

Thanks!

I eat eggs EVERY SINGLE day too. They are a great source of protein - filling and good for you. I get my cholesterol checked regularly. It is never high. If you are not restricted from them for medical reasons, eat them!

I seldom drink water - I have to force myself to drink it. I just don't do it - I don't hate it, I just don't drink it. I go with the advice of my doctor, who said, "Drink when you are thirsty, period. All you are doing is making your other organs work to get rid of it." She said you should keep a glass of anything with…

I am sort of in the same boat - although I get 1900 calories. I am doing great - I think I am not as hungry anymore because when your calories are limited, you really make choices that make every single calorie count. So I am eating more protein and hardly any "junk" that gives me a quick burst of energy and then fizzles…

Thanks - that makes tons of sense. I guess that Sonic vanilla shake wasn't the most sensible way to eat back some of those calories, but it sure was good ! Now that I know what's going on, I'll be more careful about it!

Thanks - I just keep seeing posts about "eating back your calories" and am struggling to understand how the body deals with all of this.

I am not on a elliptical yet (this time around) but I remember years ago, when I exercised a lot, the first time I got on one. 3 minutes and I thought I was going to do. I kept at it. I added a minute each day. Before I knew it, I could stay on it an hour, and the elliptical became my favorite machine! Keep at it - your…

Incredible - I admire your courage and determination! We CAN do it! You are proof!

You look wonderful - I am so inspired! A year is a long time, but SO worth it! I will remember this as I go along my journey.

I am pretty new (2 weeks tomorrow and I've lost 6 lbs!), too. I love the site and I'm happy to help encourage you along the way! I have a lot to lose, so I will probably be on here for life! Add me!

So excited to see this post. I lost weight years ago (78 lbs) and was about 22 short of reaching my goal and my reward was going to be implants. Long story shorty, gained almost all of it back, never got the implants. Now, I'm determined. I've been a small B (very small B) all my life. I'm 54 - I am hoping by age 55 (for…

THANK YOU for posting these! I have a ways to go - a long ways - but THIS gives me HOPE! Congratulations!

I am fairly new (less than 2 weeks) and have a lot to lose, too. I am NOT a judger - I am too busy judging my own self! LOL! Would love to help you out with words of encouragement!
-
Sending you a friend request - hang in there - we can do it (I'm new too!)
-
Me either ! Does it move someone up in the conversation thread, maybe?
-
Thanks you guys!
-
Thanks! I will let her know - maybe she will get back on!

As long as you are comfortable, wear what you want! I agree with other posters - if you're not hanging out everywhere showing things that shouldn't be shown, wear what you want. When I go work out, I think I look hideous - capri leggings and big floppy t-shirts. I need to be comfortable, and that's what I'm comfortable in.…

I'm new too! Would love to be your friend!

I've been on MFP for a little over a week now, and I am loving it! It sounds like we're in the same boat! I lost 78 lbs several years ago, with diet and exercise, and slowly put it ALL back on. I am determined to lose 80-90 lbs this time, and KEEP IT OFF! Looking forward to meeting more and more people on here - small…
