  • If you like to have a sandwich once in a while, try oopsie bread. It's made with eggs and cream cheese. I put parmesan for regular sammies, and cinnamon for pb sammies. The trick is to not make more than you'll eat in a week, and use waz paper between each for storage. (They will stick together if not!)
  • I understand how everyone feels! I am 43...yup, I said that out loud...and am having a whopper of a time taking iff the weight. I did great last year after a scary diabetes diagnosis.( Yep, insulin!) Anyway, i got determined that I was not gonna do that for the rest of my life, and took off almost 40lbs. But in November my…
  • I got mine back in October and wear it everyday, except sometimes on Sundays. Can;t wait to get back on track and start losing again.
  • Got mine back in November. Feel free to add me, I need all the encouragement and motivation I can get! https: //www.fitbit.com/user/3TH7C2
  • I am definitely in!! I did real good last year, losing 30+ lbs, but this winter has been a hard one. I have been sick on and off for almost 3 months now, which makes it really hard to stick to my eating plan. Hopefully this will be just the motivation I need to get through the massive plateau I have been on since November.…
  • In my own experience and everything I have read, it is very necessary to schedule those rest days. And sometimes even unscheduled ones. Like Ninkyou said, you need time to recover and muscles to heal before pushing again. Injury will only slow you down, and if you are anything like I am, you are not exercising so hard…
  • It has taken me about 4 and a half months to take off 26 lbs. I also workout at least 5 days a week, and have quite a bit to lose. But as stated in previous posts, slowly and gradually, ensures that you have control and won't put it back on when you do get to your goal! Good luck!
  • I know what you mean...first thing on my mind for real though, is that I am starving! usually, eat a little something, because I haven't eaten a full breakfast before working out, but then I have to remind myself that there are plenty of things to do at my house to keep me busy throughout the day!
  • Could it be that maybe you just don't notice the stomach problems as much with the other stuff? I got so used to my stomach hurting all the time, that unless the pain was REALLY bad, I pretty much could ignore it. Once I stopped eating all the stuff that has gluten in it, my stomach pretty much stopped hurting all the…
  • I cut out bread, and anything else with gluten in it, because the doc said he was sure I have severe gluten sensitivity. I lost 7 in the first week alone! But side note, I don't feel deprived...if I REALLY want something, and feel like it is worth a tummy ache later, I have some...but only a little.
  • Hi, one of the things a dietitian or nutritionist would advise a diabetic would be to limit their carbs. But what we don't seem to understand is that even some of our fruits are considered a carb. I recently (2.5 mo ago) seen a dietitian, and as a diabetic she was telling me to eat 2 to 3 carbs for each meal. So, her…
  • ok, guys, thanks for *all* of your input. I was just looking for your PERSONAL experience! I know how to research and can read just fine! Thank you! As for my doctor, I never said that he endorsed nor supported alli, much less anything else. His words were, IF, and I emphasize if, if I were going to try something, to try…
  • Just remember that you can't do anything about yesterday, or tomorrow, only today. I have always been overweight. And I mean always. As a teenager, I was the kid that was sick the day of running a mile...and if I forgot, I could make myself sick! I put up with the teasing and name calling, because it was never done around…
  • I so understand how you feel. I have a teenager who is overweight also...imagine that, huh? I haven't always been the best example as to how to eat, and move, move, move! But recently she was at the doctor and he mentioned it. so we talked about it on the way home. I asked her how that made her feel. She told me she wants…
  • I have ALWAYS struggled with my weight! When I was a teenager, I was the chunky kid...but the one thing that was on my side was that I was active...skateboarding, biking, softball, tennis...I always had something to do. So I never really worried about it! Right up until I was having my daughter, (14 years ago) and realized…
  • mmm, chocotacos! I loved those things! prob a little too much! My favorite unguilty treat is to freeze yogurt. Def not the same as ice cream, but gives me a good treat when I am wanting something!!
  • Being a Christian myself, I very much believe in the power of prayer! With that being said, prayer is only part of the equation...if we pray and ask God to heal, He expects that we are going to do our part. Whether that be resting, eating right, or even going to the Dr. There are Christian doctors out there, that will pray…
  • I like to keep a yogurt in the freezer for those ice cream moments! Of course sometimes the real thing is better, but not at 9 pm!
  • Even though it seems annoying, keep drinking the water! Your body is flushing out the toxins when you pee...so the more water you drink, the better you will feel! As for going during the night, try only a sip or two if needed before going to bed. If you are drinking a whole glass of water before bedtime, no wonder you get…
  • Hello, to all! I am so glad to see that faith in God is spread all over the US, and beyond! I am in Fort Worth, married to a wonderful man, who has been called to preach, and have a (almost)15 yr old daughter. We all serve in some capacity in our church, and enjoy every minute of it! Being from a life that was wrapped up…
  • I have to agree with giving in...sometimes, my cravings are just that. A craving. if I can eat something healthy, and it will go away, I'm good. But there are times, when the chocolate just has to be ate! Only, these days, I will only eat 1/4 to 1/2 of the whole serving rather than throwing down on the whole thing or even…
  • Planning seems to be a great idea...but that is all it is to me...an idea! I have been logging at the beginning and end of the day! On the days I am at school (teacher) I get outside when I can and play with the kids, jump rope burns alot of cals, which helps if we have to go out for dinner or whatever! Also, during the…
  • You can do this! My husband was told he needed a double hip replacement almost 5 years ago. But the dr. said he wouldn't do it if he didn't stop drinking. My hubby immediately quit drinking, has had the surgeries, and is doing great. He needs to take off some weight, but nothing he can't do! You can too!
  • Count me in! 50 ish is really what I am looking at. My goal is to just be healthy, and be able to walk the dog and still be able to breathe!
  • If you are ever up close to Huguley, message me...I like to walk there around the track when its cool enough. Please friend me, I am also in South Fort Worth.
  • I totally agree! I just know there are places that have wrinkles that shouldn't yet...and bulky spots that shouldn't be bulky! I just want to be healthy and grow old with my hubby, and watch my future grandbabies grow up!
  • Hi, I am definitely in a similiar boat. I have only 1 child, but while I was pregnant gained a total of 80lbs! That was almost 14 years ago. I am not by any means lazy. I am a private school teacher, and pretty much stay busy during the summer with camps, vbs, and other various projects. I have always been heavy, every…
  • That just LOOKS nasty!
