I love mine! For a first exercise, sit on it and do sit ups. It will strengthen your core. I also put it under my legs to do planks and push ups. I also roll my knees up to my chest while planking, that one takes a little more balance.

I'm in! My goal is to walk/hike 150 miles in April. I will be running toward a spring flower for my ticker. I am DONE with the snow!

Set your goal to lose 2 lbs a week. Eat healthy balanced meals within your calorie allowance. If you get into the habit of eating healthy meals, you will have an easier time maintaining your goal weight so you don't gain it all back. Measure all your food and track it correctly on this site. Drink a lot of water and…

I love that you are all on the journey to be healthy together as a family. Thank you for sharing this; it's inspiring.

Congrats Run Timer, I knew you would make it.

Today is the end of the challenge. I joined another challenge to walk 150 miles in the month of March, so I kicked it up a notch once March came. I walked a total of 140 miles during this challenge. I hope a few more people post that they reached their goal or came close. If you didn't reach the goal but got into the habit…

I was wondering the same thing, Run Timer. You seem to be the only one posting your progress on here. I have been updating my ticker each day and it has been updating on this page automatically. I just reached the goal today and went a little over. I am so glad I joined the challenge, it got me moving again. I hope I can…

When I first wanted to lose weight, I tried WW. I actually liked the meetings and found them very helpful. Personally, I liked sharing my ups and downs with the people in the group that didn't judge. If someone had a bad week and shared, the group was always supportive and helped to motivate that person and helped them get…

It sounds like you are off to a good start. The most important thing to do is to log in all your foods correctly. Use a scale for best results. If you have your own recipes, put them into the recipe builder on here and use that for a proper calorie count. I record everything, even when I have had a bad day and know I went…

It can be very frustrating when you don't see the results on the scale you are expecting to see. Sometimes when we do weight training we gain muscle, which is good, but muscle weighs more than fat. You will see inches disappear, look more toned, and help rev up your metabolism by gaining muscle. However, you may not see…

I just started back on here last month. I was afraid to weigh in too. I decided to weigh myself every week on Sunday morning and record it on here regardless of whether I gain or lose. I feel that it is helpful to be accountable for that weigh in at the beginning of each week. I can also go back and look at my diary on…

As a general rule, I find it easier to meet my goal when I eat fresh fruits and vegetables, lean meat that has not been processed and whole grains. Exercising is also a key player. The more you exercise, the more you will be able to eat more. I also find it helpful to plan my meals on here for the entire day and then stick…

I think the best way to prove to her that you can have an occasional treat is to show her at least a weeks worth of completed diary entries where you are under your caloric goal. If you are not tracking your food, you will not be able to tell if you can afford to eat it or not. If most of your food choices are healthy and…

All this exercise has helped me out. I lost 2.4 lbs this week! I love the idea of a ticker to keep track. Thanks profoster21!

I hope everyone is doing well and on track to meet the 125 mile goal. I have 57 miles so far. We are almost half way done. I have been getting a lot of my miles snowshoeing. All the trails here have 2-4 feet of snow on them. I want to thank Lilydoc22 for this challenge. I don't think I would be outside exercising when the…

This is exactly what I need to be doing. I'm in too!

I will be doing 100 miles this month. I have done 9 so far.

I have only been using this site for about 10 day. I am finding a lot of incorrect serving sizes on the foods that I am recording. I have to compare the nutritional information on the side of each package. Does anyone know of a way to change the incorrect information? I have been adding the correct information and…
