I too am done! Going down is soooo much easier. Wonder what our "burn" was - guess it doesn't matter cuz it's more than we would have had, if we had not climbed those hills. Thinking about discontinuing MARCH MADNESS due to lack of interest. Perhaps my challenges are too hard??? LOL. If I get some responses to this, I may…

You guys set the rules - what day it happens on doesn't really matter. I started posting an afternoon ahead to try and catch you English gals. And yes Paws - skittles are round! So are apples, grapes, cantaloupes, cookies, pizza, and CHEESEBURGERS! Wonder how much FIBER is in a cheeseburger????? Today's challenge…

Susie - doing a great job. Actually, you got me beat. Just makes you think a bit more about healthy eating. Get ready - next week's focus will be on fitness. :drinker: jp

Never said it would be easy - thus the word CHALLENGE. jp
-
Susie: As long as you are burning calories MOVING - doesn't matter where you are going! jp

FAMILY FIRST ALWAYS! jp

Great job girls - me too!

31 Day Challenge - all days can be found on my blog.

Always something to "think" about - let's use POUNDS. I'm running on water today after yesterday's challenge. OMG thought I was gonna blow up last night as I forced that last glass of water down. Good luck! jp
-
Mission accomplished but nearly drowned! I'm gonna be up all night.
-
Ummmmm - LOL - seems we do have a bit of a problem with our members being from around the globe. Oh well you English Dames - can be a day behind us for a change! And if I calculate it correctly, an ounce equals approximately 29.57 ml's. Sounds like a lot when you calculate it that way! 40 ounces down for me so far - that's…
-
16 ounces down - Only 157 more to go. The day is early. jp
-
Heck no - it's never too late! Besides it's only DAY ONE. We are SEVEN STRONG NOW. Everybody better watch out - we're on a mission. jp
-
Well ladies - looks like we are only SIX strong and tomorrow is the 1st day of March. Let's DO IT!
-
All those mileage markers make you FEEL GOOD. 15 is a big one - still waiting to hit my 10 pound marker. Turn around once and awhile and smile at me cuz I'm trailing behind you. jp

Southern Fried Cabbage Serve 4 5-6 strips of bacon 1 head cabbage, sliced 1 onion, diced ¼ cup chicken broth (I use low sodium broth) 1 tsp vinegar (optional) ½ tsp salt ¼ tsp pepper In large skillet, fry the bacon until crispy, remove to a paper towel to drain Place chopped cabbage and onion in the skillet with the bacon…

John - you might try Swai. I really like it better that Tilapia. It's another Asian white fish that is really milder than Tilapia and usually cheaper. I like to throw some seasoned bread crumbs on it and brown it up in some olive oil. Sprinkle with some lemon pepper. Could eat it almost every day.

And I would like to take this moment and say that was BEAUTIFUL.

Here's an easy-to-understand and well written article on why eating FAT is good - http://www.eatnakednow.com/eatnaked/2013/05/08/the-fat-question-why-fat-doesnt-make-you-fat/ If you are wanting to process protein, in whatever quantity you set for yourself, you NEED the fat in order for your body to effectively complete…

MUNCHIE TIP OF THE DAY: I fill my cookie jar with frosted shredded wheat mini-spooners. If I am craving something sweet, there is just enough of a sweet taste to curb my cravings. Not many carbs, a little protein, and high in fiber. Now I don't have to feel guilty when I dip into the cookie jar. My hubby has even started…

Gonna try John's chicken tonight! Thanks for sharing Mr. John.

Love the profile pics versus the realistic pics! Now if we HAD to post full body shots that might prove to be true MOTIVATION.

Janey - anything counts as long as you are moving! See how with a little patience and determination, you can build up your endurance. Three weeks and you will be to move on. jp

LOL - perhaps we will all be in white spandex pants by the end of the year!
-
Thanks Tiff! I was beginning to think NOBODY listened to music while they were working out. I might just give these a try. jp

I'm dreaming of course, but hey what's life without dreams. 5K's are about my limit and I usually come in last (or close to it) BUT because I run the small ones and there are so few women (if any) running in my age bracket - I usually always get a medal! jp
-
LOL - don't need to keep jumping in and out of the shower. So often are lives are so hectic we just can't seem to find the time to exercise, so we don't. Just wanted to illustrate that these beginning exercises can be done anytime and anywhere, in the shower, in front of the bathroom mirror, at work, etc., etc. And no…

I should also add that Hollis was the first member of this group to join when I started it. 1st place all around!

Hi all: Thanks to Hollis for starting this topic. Now what do I do??? My main focus is to get my running ability to something other than "couch" level. This time of year I depend on my trusty ole friend, the treadmill. I begin by finding a pace that I can run (non-stop) for at least a quarter of a mile. Each day I up it by…

If you run or walk outside, let someone know where you are going and how long you think you will be gone.
