  • I still eat the foods I love and have maintained at goal for about half a year (it took me about half a year to reach goal). I still log everyday to keep myself in check, but I typically eat then log. I don't plan out/log my meals before preparing them. It's a good indicator whether or not I can fit a late night snack into…
  • Me too! But I don't eat marshmallows, so no peeps for me. It's all the chocolate I'm worried about! I am not worried about Easter at all. I plan on enjoying a day off of work and eating as I would any other day.
  • I am 5'3". At 159, I wore a 10/12. Now I am 127 and wear about a 6.
  • I need at least 7 hours of sleep to be fully awake and productive during the day. Most days I get 5 - 6 hours of sleep (during the workweek). In the weekends, I tend to sleep too much. I've always had problems with consistently getting enough sleep, formerly because of insomnia and now because of a busy schedule of work…
  • My cat's name is Omega and I once came home to a cardboard cat house that said "Om3guz House."
  • I'm a part-time student working on my AA. I want to get my BA after I decide what I want to major in. I'm 22 and I'm on MFP every day. Add me if you'd like!
  • A lot of food labels don't include potassium. I tried to track potassium but it was so frustrating to never meet my goal, even when I ate lots of fruits and vegetables. I am a vegetarian and I try to eat mostly healthy, but unless I ate a diet of potatoes and cantaloupe, I don't think I would ever be able to meet my…
  • Try the recipe tool. It's an option under the food tab, right next to settings. It is a great way to track homemade meals. You just add all the ingredients and write down the number of servings it makes. You can then add it to your diary like any other food.
  • I'd give myself a 9. I don't keep track of my water intake anymore (even though I always fill it because I can't stand to see it empty!), but I drink plenty of water, probably more than 8 glasses daily. I log 99% of everything that I eat. Sometimes I don't log the honey I put in my tea or the spices I add to my food. I…
  • 32 down and 2.5 lbs to go! Or until I am happy with my weight loss - I would like to lose fat and gain some muscle. I recently started losing again after being stuck at 129 - 131.
  • I have both my MFP and FB set to sedentary because my activity level is not consistent. I always have more calories on MFP than from FB. I go by FB's calories and ignore any extra calorie allowance from MFP. I will try changing MFP to lightly active and see if this works better. Thank you for posting this! I have been able…
  • I'm 5'3" and my goal is 130 but as I get closer to my goal weight, I think a healthier weight would be in the 120s.
  • I'm 5'3" and 134. I want to lose 5 - 10 more. Would love to have more friends with similar goals! Add me if you'd like. :)
  • This is one of my motivations too. I have always had a hard time finding jeans that fit right - big thighs that didn't match up to my big, but not so big, hips. Somehow I am now more proportionate and can find jeans that fit right.

  • Cats! I love them. I have two. I'd have more if I could (apartment living)!
  • Healthy eating has the opposite effect on me - I sleep better when I eat well. It probably boils down to individual differences (people react differently to the same things). I have always had issues falling asleep and getting a good night's rest. Have you tried herbal teas? Or melatonin? Valerian? Chamomile? I use all of…
  • I take 3mg of melatonin every night. The supplement I take also has chamomile extract and valerian extract. I sleep very well when I take melatonin. I don't get the vivid dreams. Other sleep aids make me groggy and I am sensitive to antihistamines.

  • I have an Aroma rice cooker (3 quart) that works really well. It's in the 40 - 50 dollar price range, but it is much better than the cheap rice cookers I've had in the past. It can steam vegetables too. It has the options for quick rice, white rice, brown rice, and a few other settings that I don't typically use. I love my…

  • That's amazing! Congrats on your weight loss! Having a supportive SO makes a huge difference. My boyfriend is very supportive too, and I don't think I'd be able to do it as well without his support. Enjoy your size 10s!!! Your progress is inspiring!
  • I started at 159 wearing a size 10/12 and M/L tops. I am now 141 and wear a loose 8 and S/M tops. I'm 5'3".
  • Growing up, I had (powdered) mashed potatoes, canned vegetables, and some sort of meat (usually chicken, hamburger, or the occasional pork chops). Lunch was whatever was served at school, which was always unhealthy- pizza, hot dogs, etc.. I think we had eggs or cereal for breakfast. Bread was always white. Fresh fruits and…

  • This is probably the first place I noticed any change! After about two months of MFP, my bras were noticeably too big. I don't know what size I should wear and I know my size has changed. I started off at a 36B. I usually wear a snug tank top as an undershirt so my bra line (formerly unnoticeable!) doesn't show. Bras are…
