  • I recently got to stage 3 but went on vacation and then when I got back it was too difficult to just continue so I just started it over. I did not follow the meal plan and lost 8lbs in the 8 weeks and the inches I haven't tallied up but I have pants that do not fit anymore. I love the program and that is why I'm starting…
  • Just posting once more. I have decided what is best for me personally now after reading a few opinions from both sides. Have a good conversation here if you choose to. My mind is made up and I will not be checking back here. Cheers
  • I hate to point it out but in the first few chapters he discusses how he looks and talks about how most people don't trust an over weight man to give them weight loss tips. Don't judge and give it another read. He does address his weight.
  • Glad to hear that. I also have knee problems. My knee is so bad that I cannot do any form of physical activity without extreme pain. I have been on every prescription drug you can think of and nothing has helped. I have been going to physiotherapy for over 3 years and have had 2 procedures done to my knee. If this helped…
  • Great job! Hope you see amazing results when you go to the Dr in Sept hope your blood sugar has gone down.
  • That is why I am thinking of cutting down at least. I don't think I could go without completely but I want to cut down due to all the bad things in gluten products now. Thank you Bernadette606 for sharing. :)
  • I was informed by a nutritionist and my doctor to stay away from enriched wheat. They told me that they are just full of chemicals that can be harmful. And to especially stay away from enriched white bread. Just thought I'd let you know.
  • I do not have a gluten tolerance (that I know of) but am looking to loose more weight and to cut down on my sugar intake. I have researched and found that cutting down your wheat intake can help with the sugar intake because most whole wheat products are now made with a lot of sugar in them for taste.
  • In the book he talks about how you can feel lighter and healthier in general if you don't have a tolerance. Hearing that you did makes me want to try it. I have been told by my family doctor that it is also possible to have a tolerance and not know and the weight gain and tiredness after eating wheat is your body trying to…
  • I have been on MFP for awhile and seem to be stuck on the roller coast of gaining and losing. Your success is awesome! Would love to have you as a support and get some tips of how to stay on track.
  • Like many have said before me if you are hungry late eat. I work until midnight and find that sometimes I need to have something before bed and other times I don't. Do what works for you. Don't live your life counting calories!
  • Hi, This is a great way to start getting healthier! I have been on the site for awhile now and have been on many diets before even paid diet programs and didn't see the results I wanted. Hope the site helps you get where you want to be and stay there. I would love to support you on your journey and have your support on…
  • I have done the Ripped in 30 and I found that I lost inches but no weight. I figured out that I had been building muscle which canceled out the fat being burnt. I am a huge fan of Jillian and as she says you should add variety to your work outs. Your body gets used to a routine and then it isn't as effective anymore. If…
  • I have had days were I do not meet my calorie count mainly because I am eating foods like celery and watermelon, low calorie or "negative" calorie foods. The gaining weight part of being under calorie intake is that your body is not knowing when it is going to get the proper nutrients next so it holds on to everything that…
  • I will look in to that work out for sure. It has been hard being active due to my knee. Need friends to keep me motivated to eat healthy since I can't be as active as I want to be. Have just recently found pain killers that help manage the pain. Have to ease myself back into the routine I was in before the problem started.…
  • I was plateauing earlier I found what worked for me was differing my calorie intake and not sticking to the 1200. After doing so I found that I loose more having at least 1300 calories a day. Allowing yourself to eat more some days could be the boost you need. You may want to try doing a detox/cleanse too.
  • Week # 1 -- September 3rd -- Goal 400 minutes: Adding in my steps as well. Goal over 10 000 a day. Total 100 000 a week. Mon: 30 minute bike riding 20 minute 30DS (not sure if this counts as cardio?) 20 minute kickboxing and 60 minute walking at about 3mph. steps: 13454 Tue: 45 minute walk, 20 minute 30DS, 20 minute…
  • Jillian suggests placing your knees on the floor for the planks if you cannot hold the plank the whole time. Sometimes you just have to work into it. I didn't think I would be able to hold them and now I have little to no trouble. You can do it don't doubt your strength.
  • Just completed D13 and D6 of L2. Seeing the difference already.
  • As with any diet I am concerned that once you stop taking the shakes or taking the meal suppressors the weight will come off. People need to stop dieting and make life style changes. I am not saying the shakes are bad just think its better if you do something that you can continue for life and not just a few months. By all…

  • I completed Jillian Micheals 30 Day Shred level 2 and her Kickbox Fast Fix back to back and still am going for a walk after lunch. My small win is getting up and forcing myself to work out and feeling amazing afterwards.
  • Try doing the modifications. I had knee surgery in Jan 2012 and my knee still bugs me a lot more than before the surgery taking pain killers for the pain still. I find it easier to modify some of the moves. Try it out and see how it works for you.
  • 30DS is Jillian Micheals 30 Day Shred it is a 20 minute workout consisting of 4 circuits each made up of strength cardio and abs. It is a great workout I recommend it for anyone who has not done it. You can watch it on youtube or buy it at Walmart or on Amazon.

  • Completed Day 11 day 5 of level 2. According to MFP burned 167 calories. Followed the 30DS with Jullian Micheals kickboxing fast fix. It is an amazing cardio workout gets you moving. I'm always dripping sweat after completing either one of these two great workouts.
  • I'm on day 10 and on my 4th day of level 2 but I will try and do it for the full length as you. Maybe it will help me get out of this plateau.
  • I'm in Week # 1 -- September 3rd -- Goal 300 minutes: Mon: Tue: Wed: Thur: Fri: Sat: Sun:
