I have been using MFP off and on for the last 5 years. If you mind your business, develop a small group, eat right, and move around - You will be just fine! I have a small group that I've followed, encouraged, and received great advice from. Wish you the best!

I second what Laurend224 stated. Also, take a look at paleo recipes.

to be quite honest with you, it's hard in the beginning b/c you don't know where to start. have you tried c25k, its a free app on your phone that teaches you slowly but surely how to run a 5k? it jumpstarted my weightloss, and i still use it to this day! seriously, all i do now is track my calories, eat cleaner (veggies,…

the other ladies have some really good points! i am just going to say congrats on such an awesome accomplishment. you have already done something great, now you just have to finish strong and do something amazing! You CAN do it!

Congrats on your weight loss! You have done an excellent job so far! I will introduce you to all my MFP friends! They are awesome and know alot about reducing fat percentages! Enjoy!

I understand where you are coming from!!! I always gain weight first then I lose weight! for some reason my body loves to hold muscle (weight), but i keep reminding myself that muscle burns more calories at a resting heart rate than fat does!
-
that is an awesome achievement!

wht i have come to realize is that i get bored easily. so, after i finish or accomplish one i need to move on to something new. find another program that equals the challenge there.

I think that 5lbs a month is realistic...I lost 8 in 1.5months. Just depends on what you are doing. I suggest joining a challenge, program, or doing C25k. Something where you feel accountable and have goals for each week and month. Good luck you can do it!
-
I totally understand where you are coming from. have you checked your measurements? the fat could be transforming into muscle and muscle weighs more! I was losing inches the first month while everyone around me was losing pounds, so i started to check my measurements, and that was my triumph!
-
ok, first of all! I think your workout plan is a very good start! secondly, i would use c25k to learn how to run a 5k...that's how i lost my first 8lbs! you can do anything you put your mind to! ask anyone on MFP who has lost any weight, you have to fly above the negativity, even when it comes from within your own head!…

you do not have to consume all of the calories. i like to pay attention to my "net" caloric intake versus my daily goal. if i happen to feel hungrier i use those extra calories. i really let my body be the judge but stay within my caloric goal especially if i have worked out.

just stay strong...stay committed!
