I usually eat mine before my workout so I don't get dizzy in the morning, but if you are weight lifting, I believe it's best to have it afterwards, during your recovery period.

My favorite is the zone perfect bars. The only flavor I like is the Dark Chocolate with almond/raisin, it smells and tastes like amerretto(sp?). I have one almost every morning! They sell single protein bars too at walmart if you are looking to test drive different ones. Good luck, way to go and all that happy stuff - lol…

I bought some, they are ok. A little bland, but filling. My favorites are the banana nut and the apple crumb. The chocolate ones I bought were really bland.

I almost always have a zone perfect bar for breakfast, they have a lot of protein in them and keep you full until late morning.

That makes sense, because it would increase your heart rate and blood pressure, so when you get up from laying down your heart would be able to get more blood to your brain. Interesting :) Glad that you are feeling better!

I just started today too! As kind of a basic plan, I'm doing the 321 slim fast plan also. That includes 2 shakes or meal bars for 2 of your meals and one 500 cal meal, with 3 100 cal snacks. Today, I found my self starving!! But probably once our bodies get used to the lower calories it'll get better! I'm also a "addict"…
