I'd like to be included - thanks!

One of my favorite sayings..."Don't let a lapse become a collapse". We ALL have times when we eat more than we should or fall off the wagon. Whether it be a day, a week, a month or longer...it happens to the best of us. The key is recognizing this, getting rid of guilt/negative feelings, and refocusing on making healthy…

Bravo!!!! You are KILLING it :)

We are so hard on ourselves! Your "fat arms" are gorgeous, LOL. You really look amazing and you can totally see a tremendous difference between the two pictures. And I agree with the others - you look so young :) Great job!

I think I'd go mad if I had to find the explanation as to why my weight fluctuates the way it does. I'll hold steady for a week - or longer - and then drop up to three pounds over the next two days. Then I'll hold steady again, go up a pound, hold steady, drop two pounds, hold steady, up .5, next day down 2 pounds. All the…

Congratulations! I'm intrigued about how you haven't had a panic attack in ages - I get them occasionally and have noticed they've diminished a lot since I joined the gym back in February. I'm wondering if there's a correlation between fitness and panic attacks? Or if we feel more "at ease" since we're eating…

Bravo! You look so wonderful and are such an inspiration :)

It's disappointing when we've been "good" and expect to see big results - and see little to no change. Or, even worse, we gain weight LOL! Like everyone else said, be sure to measure/weigh your food and hit your calorie range. For me, when I don't eat enough, my weight loss stalls. I know it sounds crazy, but after months…

Loved reading this. Congratulations on your amazing journey!

Love every word of this. Fabulous job. You are an inspiration.

Great job! I started at a size 18 too so seeing your picture is very inspiring :)
-
Fabulous! That's a great milestone!

Put the scale away. Seriously. Start focusing on behaviors (which you can control) rather than results (which you can't control). It's not about killer workouts - it's about moving more and consuming a bit less. So start today with maybe a walk or turning off the TV and doing some yard work. Anything to keep you moving.…

Dude...your "before" picture was incredible, LOL. Your "after" picture is, just, WOW! On behalf of the 40 year old stay at home Moms, I thank you for posting that :)

I'm not sure I have any advice, but I appreciate your post regardless. There are a lot of us who struggle with binge eating and it's nice to feel "not so alone". I don't know of many things that feel worse than the "post binge" feeling. That instant gratification I get from a binge is NOTHING compared to the agony of the…

The best piece of advice I read was to "start living like the person you want to be and let the rest fall into place". I wanted to be more active, so I became more active. I always felt like I needed to wait until I lost the weight before I started living like a healthy person. Instead I've become healthier by living like…

First of all, I'm so sorry that happened to you. It was completely rude, uncalled for and hurtful. As to your coworker, I'd simply say, "That's an incredibly rude comment and I shall be reporting you to Human Resources". Then swagger (don't walk, actually swagger!) to your supervisor or HR directly to log a complaint. No…

I'm still losing. What's been most helpful for me is planning my weekly dinners in advance and then shopping accordingly. I write out the menu for the week on a white board so everyone knows what to expect (and they can save their complaints, LOL) and it's a good reminder to me each morning of what I need to do for the day…

I literally laughed out loud at this.

Big difference for sure. Great job!

You look awesome!

Instead of avoiding exercise in any form (because I was so out of shape) I now actively seek it out. I walk to pick the kids up from school instead of driving the .3 miles (yup, did it for years). I offer to mow the lawn - 2 hours pushing a mower while listening to great music is actually relaxing. I join in with the kids…

My only advice is to lose the self loathing. Consuming excess calories doesn't mean you're eating like a "cow" or are "disgusting". All it means is your consuming excess calories...end of story. If you're unhappy with your food intake/weight/health, this is a great site for you. Excellent advice, tools and support readily…

Excellent!

What an incredible transformation. You look so happy :)

Agree completely! In the past, my smoking actually impeded my weight loss because exercise was so challenging. I quit cold turkey 3 years ago and I can't believe the difference now when I go to the gym! So now is a GREAT time to quit - you won't ever regret it. Good Luck

Bravo!!! You look fabulous and your story is so inspiring!

Touring college campuses with my son did not cause me to collapse/become winded. In fact, I looked forward to the hills and the stairs and using our exploring to get my heart pumping. I'm not afraid that I'm going to find myself in a situation that will overwhelm me physically - I just push right through it with confidence…

To become strong, fit and healthy. I started working out two months ago and I already feel great. I still have a weight to lose, but that will come with time. I notice such a difference in my strength and cardio endurance - in just a couple of months - I'm ecstatic.
