My partner is amazing, but when drunk (if out without me) he will insist on bringing me back drunk takeaway. he means well by it, I just wish I didn't wake up and sober eat drunk takeaway. Perhaps cut in up into half portions and freeze it? You will think twice about getting it out then. ;-)

My go to low calorie lunch is cous cous (roast with a veggie oxo crumbled in), roast vegetables and either Quorn chicken fillet or steak strips for protein. I also have a lot of salads, Quorn crispy nuggets, or mixed bean salads and boiled potatoes bulk it out. I tend to basically do the same for me as I do for my meat…

My partner and I had limited ourselves to one egg each - except they were on 3 for £10 so we have one to share as well. I am going to try to be good and portion mine off - but who knows. If I eat less than half a shell a day I'll class it as a win :-)

That’s probably my kind of taco

I can see what you are saying, I eat most things, except my danger foods (pizza, chips, crisps, chocolate). I guess eating more non calorie high food is just something I have to adapt to.
-
Exactly this. I just don’t have a huge appetite either, I just drink too much and eat fried food, crisps and chocolate! I guess I just have to learn to eat more. Lol.
-
It isn’t that I don’t think I should, it is that I do t think I can. I struggle to eat enough healthy food, most of my calories come from junk and booze. It is just too much.

You are so right, and telling me all the things I know but need to hear. I am fully aware that I am my own worst enemy, and need to change my mindset as much as my eating habits. This is why it has never worked for me before, and a cycle I am determined to break! Thank you! Also, I have looked at my 2lb per week loss…

I love alcohol, but now that I have got passed the last wedding of the season I am saying a temporary farewell to it. Thanks for the info on TDEE. I also don't eat much (as in large portions) I just eat too much of the wrong stuff and drink too much. That is why I am struggling with the high target - it is harder to get to…

I'm definitely not perfect, and I have had some pretty bad days when I have been on here before. I Am careful with my logging though, and weigh and measure everything (unless it is pre packaged). I have dropped my activity level down to sedentary which has reduced me to 1700 ish, so I will try that for a week or so and see…
-
I guess this is what I do. I am set to lightly active, as I am on my feet most of the day running about.
-
I'm quite active - in a nursery most days running about. I don't really know what TDEE is, but the 1920 I got was generated by MFP for loss of 1lb per week. I'm 40lbs heavier than you, and currently set to lightly active.
-
Hi, I have mine as lightly active and I log exercise calories... but haven't been eating them back. Do you think i need to drop it to sedentary? I like logging the calories as I like seeing the number even if I don't eat any of them back.
-
Good luck! I'm just getting back into it myself!

Hi, sorry. Didn't mention my height or weight - I suppose that is quite useful for you to know. I'm 5ft 4 and incredibly over weight at 16st 11. I am 32. It just seems such a lot for a diet!
-
I have to make my sandwiches for work the day before to make sure I don't go out and buy junk. Personally, I like to have some idea of what I am going to have each night. If I have already decided I tend to stick to it much better, which stops it feeling like a diet.
-
I'm recently rejoined too! Starting properly tomorrow! Good luck!

What polar product have you got? I have the Polar M400 GPS watch and it is fab! Just downloaded a bug fix for polar today even though I hadn't noticed any problems.

Having the negative calorie adjustment has showed me just how damaging inactivity can be!
-
I have already enabled them.
-
Ohh - I didn't think about that. I usually have about 600 over and go to bed about 10:30. Looking back over the week I have plenty to spare. I will change the activity level some time! Thank you for your help :-)

I guess I could say that when I binge, I binge. We could be talking 2-5000 calories on top of my normal daily eating. The worst thing is that I don't really remember the act of going out and buying all the junk (I don't keep it in the house) or in fact eating all of it. I sort of remember the craving to buy the food, and…

I am cutting out crisps, chocolate, biscuit, sweets and desserts etc. I am making an exception for chocolate hobnobs and cake... as I rarely eat them anyway and having them as a safety net means I am more likely to succeed and not go on a major binge!

I work in a gym, and if you are nervous January is a fab time to start. Loads of new people are there, all feeling the same.... The atmosphere is positive, everybody is filled with hope. You just keep plugging away, and next year you will wonder why you were nervous at all!

I generally do a circuit that has a bit of cardio, then a bit of strength then cardio again etc... but that is because I hate cardio and wouldn't do it otherwise. If I was going to do one first, I would do the cardio, then strength and finally core.

I don't mind people commenting if something is super healthy or if they don't like it. I really hate it if they start making snide remarks about me eating a treat though.
-
I am 5'4 and losing on 1640ish calories per day. I exercise, and I eat the calories back.

13st13lb or 195lb.

Wow - amazing. Well done :-)
