Hah- nope. I have a different goal than other people here. This thread was for the 90%- who are just trying to lose weight. I'm not trying to lose weight at this point so much. A few pounds this year would be fine. Good try though.

Nothing. Make good habits by not eating out. For any reason. If its for a mandatory corporate function go for a grilled meat salad with vinegarette.

Exercise takes care of any excess. Tracking calories to the single digits is pointless. Even to the hundreds for the most part is a waste. If we gain weight- exercise a bit more or eat a bit less. Add some weights in if you like eating a lot and pack on some muscle instead of fat. It's way easier than we make it out to be.…

Your macros are the same as mine. Roughly it works out to 1.5g protein / body weight and 0.4 fat

I take desiccated thyroid. I wake up at 5:45am and take my meds and go back to bed depending on my work schedule. I find this works best for me personally. Netting such low calories is just plain bad. There's a million foods you can take on the go in a brown bag. The grocery store is a good place to start for ideas... In…

Stick with it even if you go up a bit! It works out in the end but increasing calories can catch up to you in the beginning. Say optimistic, it's well worth it!!

It took me 2 days to work up to TDEE. It's so easy to eat a lot for me - I love food. Just make sure to eat clean. I find eating every 2-3 hours makes life easier.

I am entirely gluten free - have been for around..... 4 weeks now. Unfortunately this seems to be a lot more than food or contact related.

Fitbits and HRMs are good for various things... but not useful for the casual dieter/exerciser. Everyone on MFP would fit into that category virtually. I have an amazing polar f11 that I used for the firist 6 months every day until I realized it wasn't that accurate for what I was trying to use it for. They are excellent…

Rule #1 about lifting club: never weigh when in lifting club

I've been experiencing horrific hives. I was in the ER and put on prednisone just to stop the swelling because I was going anaphylactic. I am going off of ERFA for now and going to have a full spectrum of bloodwork done. Reverse T3, Free T4, Free T3, and thyroid antibodies for Hashimoto’s (TPO-Ab and TgAb) and antibodies…

Sugar is really nasty stuff. I think we underestimate how much of an impact it has on our lives. I try hard to stay under 25g of sugar per day and I perform optimally at this level. 20g is best I find.

So it's been a week since I went on my meds. So far so good. I am noticing that my brain fog and constant fatigue is improving. I don't feel perfect yet but it's a process and frankly at this point any improvement is changing my life. Right now my focus is on my diet, and ensuring that my medication timing is perfect and I…

Yes. If you read most of the threads here we all talk about initial weight gain. I didn't lose anything for 2 months! It's a process.

I find when the fewest amount of people are doing something it makes the most sense. Examples: weight lifting, eating clean, no religion, home gardens, veganism... Etc.

I dated a few girls on MFP- did not end wel. So I'd probably never do it again.

I understand his point of view if he were starting the relationship. I am not attracted to larger women either. That said its obvious he was swayed by his family and decided to take the harsh, brutal route. This guy doesn't deserve you. You don't need to change for anyone but yourself. Someone who dumps a girl like that…

Lol this thread is hilarious.

Vertigo, brain fog, extreme fatigue, and visceral fat retention.

I've been religiously training for 2 months with no real results yet. I've been on MFP watching my intake for 13 months and lost around 20lb. It's been slow.. I'd say around 6-10x slower for comparing myself to non hypo bodybuilders results. I just started ERFA and I'm excited to see the results as my TSH and t3/4 are way…

Gender, age, stats, clean eating?? Etc... Need more info then I'd be happy to help

Lets get this in front of any new eyes that may be considering this lifestyle. :) Notched my belt down to my final hole... Up 5lb. The scale lies. ;)

I eat 1g / LBM

A week off won't have so much of an impact that you see a significant gain or loss of any kind. It's okay to make a change for a week.

Go for a nice performance Whey like Optimum Nutrition.

Eat as clean as you can and push your body to failure. You'll see the results you want. My results have taken 12 months and I've seen similar transformations online in before/afters in 3 months. All bodies are different from hormones to genetics. We can't possibly force out bodies to shed the weight we are mentally…

I just weighed in at 217.8 - have a great rest of the week pals!

My pleasure. :) I posted it because I know how we are told by society we need to be a certain weight from a very young age. Psychologically I still place value in those 3 little numbers. But the reality is they don't matter at all. I think a 15lb fluctuation really speaks to that. I weighed last night at the same time and…

I eat whatever I want those days. Seriously. It's one day and it won't kill you. You have the restof your life to do 2 cardio sessions to burn it off.

If you gain body fat at your bmr, then it isn't your bmr. :)
