I reset my streak. :)
I felt like mentally I should start my streak from my tdee reset date. So my streak just went from 335 days to 35. I already feel better about it. Sure I started the journey a year ago but I really only dialed in my goal last month. Sometimes we need a hard reset. :)

The end all-be all trick that will make you lose weight:
All for the price of free: 1. Eat unprocessed, "unmarketed" corporate food (IE eat clean food) 2. Drink lots of water (and rarely anything else) 3. Exercise (start slow!) 4. Track your food 5. Eat vegetables There's nothing else to it. If you're not losing weight then something in the above list isn't being done correctly.…

Extreme Rash/Hives Autoimmune
Hey everyone. I realize this isn't weight related but maybe you have experience this and can help. Starting after puberty, every few years I would develop a really bad rash/hives that would come on our of nowhere and take over my entire body within hours. I'd be very itchy and hot. I go to the doctor and they always give…

Side-effect for men?
I've been on Thyroid for about 3 weeks now and I am loving life. One thing I've noticed... my hair on my face and head is growing significantly faster and thicker. I have tried to find information online about this but have come up empty handed. I've always had a baby face and am suspecting that the increase in…

My life changed yesterday!
After a lifelong struggle with hypothyroid and the challenges we all experience receiving treatment- my naturopath prescribed me desiccated thyroid (erfa) yesterday! I started it yesterday and so far an on a half grain a day. She has me self medicating, increasing every 2 weeks by half a grain until my symptoms go away.…

Friendly reminder on weight zig-zag
When you are eating enough food and working out heavily enough your body weight can fluctuate. Add a carb load day and some creatine and now we're talking some serious water retention. Here's an example: I've been hovering at 219 lately. I weighed last night for fun and came in at 234. I am not bothered by it because I…

My 4 month results are in
Here are my measurements from the end of December 2012 to this morning: Hips down 3" Chest up 3" Thighs up 1" Biceps up 1.5" Belly button / love handles down 2.5" I'm very pleased considering my food options were limited at my place of work with almost no vegetables or fruit for 4 months. Follow me on instagram for daily…

The body doesn't work in "week" periods
Our bodies can take months to adjust to change. It can take minutes to add bloat but days to rid of it. We don't work on set clocks and time periods. Being in this for a healthier body and mind- you need to be willing to put in the time (any time needed) to hit your end goal. This has been an incredibly long journey for me…

I missed y'all! 12 week Bulk/reset
Hey everyone, long time no speak! I took a break from the MFP social scene for awhile after my ex and I broke up. Got tired of seeing her face all over. ;) That said things are going well in my health world. I've been continuing to run for some time. But I've made a change lately. I noticed fatigue and results were…

Nearing day 300 but... (Help)
Despite logging for 290 days, and in the last 3 months netting around 1750 cals a day I am not losing weight. I should be building muscle and losing ~1lb a week. Any ideas why I am struggling so so much to drop this 20? I thought if you ate under maintenance you lost weight, so wtf. My BMR was tested with a body comp scale…

NSV: Belt down another notch!
While I haven't seen any weight change or noticed any change physically, I had to put my belt on notch 5 today. I start on a tight 3, so I am very pleased with the progress! :)

I never really left... ;)
Hey everyone. I've decided to rebuild my friends list after a hiatus. Re-add me and lets get the party started! :)

NSV 5k!!
I did it again, I beat my last run time! I managed to run 3.1m/5k in 32:30. That's the best I've run in 10 years! I'm super proud of myself today especially considering how poorly I've eaten oven the holidays... Haha.

Help me break my running plateau and target
As of right now I am able to run a 5k at a pace of 11 min/mile. I am taking a physical that requires me (in 6 weeks) to be able to run 1.5 miles in 14 minutes (approx 9 min mile). Today I ran 1 mile at this pace and then crashed. My HR was at 182 and I just didn't have the endurance to finish. How can I break this wall?…

NSV! 5k (3.1miles) straight!
It's the first time I've ran a 5k with no breaks! I just ran it in 35:08 which to me is a great start. My goal is sub 28 by this time next month but that was a huge huge step for me. I've done it before with a break or two but this time I gunned it and pushed through the blocks. Whew what a day!!

I broke a 7 month plateau!
After months of workin hard and pushing myself to the limit, I broke the plateau. I did a body composition test 2 weeks ago, and took the same one today and it showed a loss of 4.2 pounds. A loss of 1.2% body fat! I couldn't be happier and more excited. The measuring tape and mirror changes have been apparent but this is…

7 month progress: it can be slow but stick to it
Hey everyone. I've been on MFP for 7 months now. I've struggled and had successes along the way. I've been up and down- but one thing has been consistent: I never once considered "quitting". Food logging is a great way to remain accountable and keep your health in check. Some weeks we don't lose anything. Others we gain.…

My doctor refused to treat
I have all of the signs and symptoms of hypo. My blood work came back with my TSH on the high end. My Cortisol was on the high end. But he refused to treat me. At the end of the day my numbers may not be shockingly high like many others but I am suffering the symptoms - isn't that what is important to treat and not the…

Nsv that I can barely believe!
Today I bicep curled 50lbs for all 5 sets. It was only 7 months ago that as a 27 year old male I had a hard time with 15 pounders. Today was a great day for me mentally!

Looking forward to meds
I've been on MFP calorie counting and lifting weights for 7 months and I haven't lost a single pound and my body shape is identical. I am heading in tomorrow and getting my t4/t3 and looking forward to some progress. All of the guys in my position on MFP and bodybuilding forums have been doing the same or less as me effort…

Who else here does Rushfit?
Anyone else doing the program? If so where are you at (beginner, intermediate, advanced) and what day? How have your results been? I've been focused on heavy lifting but I am doing some Rushfit to change it up. I am on week 2 day 2, advanced program.

Went low carb, gained 4 pounds
So 5 days ago I started a low carb (50g) per day plan, as the last 7 months of working out and watching my calories has resulted in no scale change, or even body change. 10 years ago I lost 180lb on a low carb diet so I thought I'd try that route again. Day 5 is here and I am up 4lb without having changed anything else,…

Keto for the next 6 weeks
I am on day 3 of ketosis tomorrow. I've decided to change things up and shock my body. After almost 7 months of no physical or scale change I have lost it. I'm eating lots just avoiding carbs for a few weeks to see if I can't tell my body to smarten up. :)

You can do anything.
Over the last few years I have had my confidence rocked by a lot of situations. I gained a lot of weight since my early 20s and I was in a miserable relationship and job. After torturing myself for 5 years I broke free, and was a broken man. Then earlier this year a friend of mine recommended MFP. She was having crazy good…

Stonewalled, devestated, and defeated.
I've been on EM2WL for 5 months. Today is the first day where I have really considered dropping it for something different. I've seen very little physical change during this time despite working out fairly regularly (sure not as much as I should but I do what I can considering my job and my schedule) but I walk and perform…

All the single ladies... All the single ladies
So I'm a single guy, you're a single gal. How about we get to know each other, pal?

I challenge you.
That's right, you! I challenge you to start heavy lifting. Why? Because it feels amazing and as we know muscle burns fat. Sure it's an even longer road than just a reset and some walking to lose weight- but let's be realistic: If your end goal is a long healthy happy life, then building muscle is going to get you there.…

Just one of those annoyed days
I am making such great progress mentally - but having BDD (body dysmorphic disorder) makes things hard. I can run faster, lift more and do more than every before. But I still see a horrible gut every time I look at my photos. I also see almost no physical change from pictures I took 4 months ago despite others noticing…
