It is Totally ok to have an "off day". Take a day or two off, and try again. Just don't do what I used to. If I had a "bad" run, I would get frustrated and try again the very next day....so I'd be tired and unlikely to get through it....so even more frustrated, I'd try again the NEXT day....and so on. :) Good for you for…

Just eat the flavor packet separately and drink your water. Kidding. Count it.

I did the same thing - stalled out around week 8. It was almost like there was a mental block around the 2 mile mark for some reason I "couldn't" go farther. I actually dropped back to about week 5 and repeated the last few weeks....then breezed through it. I also think you will be surprised when you go to do your first…

Awesomeness!!!

There are a LOT of drills you can do to improve form - but it really depends what is "wrong" in the first place. Swimming is really about streamline and efficiency. When face down the water should be at or just above your hairline, turning head to side (not lifting up) to breathe. A few common drills are here:…

Happy like a bath,

LOL....totally afraid what I might get if I google that.

Doesn't the broccoli make him gassy?

Congrats!!!

Maybe. I think she's been undermining his efforts for some time now. She's always eating pizza in front of him, and taunting him with take out chinese. He really needs a partner who is more supportive.

We've tried shaving before....but he has some trouble with loose skin. Maybe a firming creme would help??
-
So, they DO make his butt look big??
-
Anybody? We're desperate.

It's almost certainly the fats and oils...and regular baths. I have noticed significant thickening of the soft undercoat over the winter. If you were to get several Angoras, and cycle the temperature in your home, you may be able to get more than 1 large annual harvest.
-
PS - it dyes well too.

I can wholeheartedly recommend the fur of my yeti. It very quickly felts when rolled and would make an excellent yarn. I can shave him and send you an initial harvest to test out. I've gotten these fine results from a diet of beef jerky and hard salami.

It really REALLY just depends on the person. When I started, it was nice outside, so I have no idea what the actual pacing was...and your height, stride and fitness will all play into what works for you. It should be faster than your walk - but a sloooow jog is fine. it's really about getting your heart rate up and then…

OH MY GOSH THIS IS ME. It goes on for....pretty much the entire run. The constant dialogue in my head...UGH :)

I did a couple of 5k's late last season, then spent the winter mainly running intervals (look up fartlek) to work on improving pacing. Just did my first 7K a few weeks ago, and was thrilled to hold a 10min mile the whole way. I'm a former competitive swimmer, so added that into the mix in January and also just did my first…

You can do it. i started C25K last summer - and 60 pounds ago. My "running" pace in the beginning is slower than my walk now as well - and that is OK! Don't worry about pace at all right now - that will come with time. Just run/jog/shuffle through the prescribed times, and the improved pacing will come. It is also ok to…

white chocolate macadamia.

I had heard compression socks can help as well - never tried it though.

Which shoes are appropriate really depends on your own personal stride and foot mechanics. I went to a running store and got fitted - ended up with mizuno wave inspires and a shoe insert with a heel cup. Everybody's needs are different though.
-
Ice them and make sure you are stretching out really well. If they aren't recovering with a day of rest in between sessions, take an extra one if you need to. I had the same thing - it got better after the first few weeks. (and MUCH better after I got different shoes).
-
Go to a running store and have them look at your stride. The right shoes will make all the difference. I started out with nike free run...totally not what I needed - no support and I also pronate. I thought I would "fix" it on my own and got a diff pair of shoes and some inserts w/ added arch support. Sort-of…

Don't worry. I was very similar in the beginning - and am very tall/long legged. It felt slow, awkward to run/jog at 4.5, but anything faster and I couldn't sustain it for the allotted interval. The speed will come with time. Just go at whatever pace you need to - don't worry about it at all right now. When I got through…

Totally awesome! I also finished and am a firm believer in the program....although, I'm not running NEARLY as far as you yet.
-
Mine is not as long as yours, but is super thick. Ponytail and then swim cap. It will fit.
-
Lol... - I remember you having to remind me of this more than once..... :)
