Dont quit whatever you do. Just logging on here every day stops me spiralling out of control even when I'm not logging. I agree with the above too. You need to start logging what you eat as its the key to steady loss. Everyone is different and some will lose faster than others, but you CAN do this I promise.

wow!! Thanks for posting that

Its a long story lol , but its useful for forums as its never taken by anyone else

"Let the dog see the Rabbit" really makes my p**s fizz

Hey , I'm in Hemel too  Highfield in fact. I've been on MFP over a year now and you`re the first I've seen from here.
-
You're in the right place for sure. This site and community have turned my life round this past year. Good luck and please feel free to add me if you want to

Did you have your running shoes fitted properly? It could be that you have the wrong type for your particular gait and it may be worth getting analysed at a specialist running store just to make sure. It could very well be that you`re not used to running and in that case some stretches would certainly help. I find the one…

It was hynotherapy that started me on my whole journey and I'm still here over a year later 47lb lighter and still pretty motivated so I'm convinced that it worked for me. Give it a go. Good luck

100 x this Do this before you run. Hold it for 30 seconds, relax and repeat 2 or 3 times. Works wonders and please read the above blog post .. its ace :)

Another vote here for Endomondo. Excellent app.

I get them if I run too soon after eating which is one of the reasons I like to go early in the day.
-
Hi and welcome :) I'm in Herts myself, but my parents live in Ibstock which is in your neck of the woods :) Good luck
-
I'm not sure if its normal, but I know the same happened to me when I was doing c25k. I did find that proper stretching helped and I no longer get any pain as I got more used to it.

Hi and welcome :flowerforyou: I've been in your situation. I'm divorced and an ex heavy smoker and I came out the other side and I'm now happier than I've ever been. Its always darkest before the dawn, just hang in there. Please feel free to add me for some support if you want to

I can only speak from experience and it might differ depending on the person, but I used to be a heavy smoker .. in the region of 40+ per day for many years. I gave up in 2004 and only started running last year in September 2010 and still found it pretty difficult after 6 years of no smoking. I then started the c25k…
-
Well done, thats fantastic. I'm a c25k graduate too and its an awesome program.

I dont think forming relationships with people will be too much of a problem once they see how great you`re looking. Theyre all going to know how you did it and I bet there`s going to be a huge demand for your new healthier recipes. Good luck
-
I nearly always go in the morning and I'm usually out before 7am. I much prefer to run on an empty stomach as its so much more comfortable for me and its great being out before the rest of the world wakes up
-
Well , I managed to get a whole 3 seconds off my personal best today  Not quite as much as I wanted but I'm pleased anyway :drinker:
-
I have Brooks too, but as said above, ideally go to a specialist shop and get analysed to find the ideal shoes for you.

Mines taken in Snowdonia, mount Snowdon is behind my right shoulder. I've lost a lot of weight since this was taken and this pic reminds me what I used to look like before MFP
