Great work! I'm in a very similar position - started at 226, now I'm done to 164/165, I'm just about a 12, and I actually want to shop now! It's a crazy world ain't it!

I'm down from an 18+ to a 12/14 - when I was around a 14/16 I had a few dresses taken in and it wasn't cheap - but I had events to wear them to and was a little fearful of buying new things. Those dresses that I paid a lot to take in are now too big again and the money was basically a waste - I got one or two wears out of…

What if we do want to see a pale, miserable Welshman? Either way, great work! And good luck maintaining - your data can help there too.

Amazing job! I'm about 60 pounds down but not budging at all - did you hit any plateaus along the way? How did you overcome them? Thanks!
-
You look incredible! It looks like you lost way more than 100 pounds, and you look 10 years younger. Keep it up!
-
Amazing! A real inspiration - I'm a year in and super stalled but determined to stick to it and keep going anyway.

Appreciate all the replies. It's kinda funny how the advice seems to be split - half thing I need to buckle down on logging and restricting and others say I should relax take a break and come back to it when my body isn't in restriction mode anymore. I have been thinking about that actually. I think to start I'll switch…

I'm thinking, man that cookie looks delicious, I want one, ok two, well just three, that's it. Honestly throughout the week I keep lots of healthy food around and I plan out what I'm going to eat but the weekend is based around meals with family and friends, and I'm not going to skip them and once I'm there I lose the…

Yes, MFP gave me 1200 from the beginning. I'm pretty short. I try not to eat back workout calories, I see it as more of a buffer, and I do go over sometimes (clearly). I remember in the beginning I would go to sleep feeling hungry but I was losing so I was happy. I just can't get back to that point, willpower-wise.

Thanks all for your encouragement. I can't log in a notebook either, but in the beginning I just had such stronger self control, and basically stuck to goal. Now, I sit down in front of a plate of cookies and before I know it I've had three. No, I've been at 1200 since the beginning. There were times when I was more…

Wow you look fantastic! Did you ever hit any plateaus and if so what did you do to get off? Thanks!

You look AMAZING! Did you ever hit any plateaus along the way, and if so how did you keep going? Thanks!

Amazing work - such an inspiration! Did you ever plateau or was it steady along the way?

What an amazing accomplishment! But 115 pounds on a 6' frame would make you seriously underweight, and unhealthy. 150-160 would be well in the normal range, and exercising is a great way to be healthy and in shape. Embrace what you've accomplished so far and keep your goals about health and bettering yourself!

5'2", started at 226, currently hovering between 166 and 168, but I'm stalled, stalled, stalled. I lost about 50 pounds in the first six months, and only about 10 in the next four months. I'm still technically in the "obese" BMI category, and I'd love to lose another 30ish pounds, but I'd settle for another 15 if only I…

I'm around a 14 now and am totally plateauing! What's your secret to success?
-
An incredibly moving story. I hope you continue to be happy and healthy.

5'2" and on approx 1200. And sorry but if I go over, I don't lose.

Thanks guys! Glad you like my wardrobe :) Both dresses happen to be from Dress Barn, which I never go to for everyday stuff but find their dresses good quality and not crazy expensive. And they have misses and plus sizes which is good since I bounce between the two (not any more!) For the first three months I was using an…

Can't you tell those yellow circles are smaller and narrower? :)

Thanks everyone! It will kind of depend on the items if it's worth it, and seamstresses range from super cheap to pricey. A lot of my old stuff I'm getting rid of but I really liked these two dresses and I have specific occasions coming up to wear them to. If you have a friend with a sewing machine they could probably do…

Thanks! Counting every day except Saturdays and occasional lapses. I have it set at 1200 but I average 1100-1400 depending on the day. And I do my best not to eat back workout calories.
-
Amazing, it looks like so much more than 36 pounds on you! Keep at it!
-
Well, happy to incite a spirited debate! While reading these replies I finished the rest of my pomegranate and now stand at 110+ grams of sugar today. Hmmmm, where's the chocolate?
-
Obviously I didn't get fat on fruit, I got fat on things that taste much better! I guess my concern is that when MFP is telling me my goal is 45g and I'm regularly eating 90+.... I should be worried. Really I'm looking to blame my plateau on something, but it should probably be on me.
-
Wow, such an incredible change. You look so much happier, prettier and younger in the second picture. And I love the new hair - before you looked like you were trying to hide behind it but now you're showing your gorgeous face!
-
Amazing job! I feel like we're in very similar boats - I started in March at 226 pounds (I'm 5'2") and am now about 185 give or take, and striving to lose another 40-50. Have had very similar moments of wanting to give up - I totally had a fleeting moment of "is being fat really so bad?" But we can do this!
-
I'm 5'2".... but 5'6" in heels :)
-
Got it, thanks guys! I guess it shouldn't be so important to keep my streak but I kinda like it... Shana tova umetuka (but not too matok, if you know what I mean).
-
So pre-logging food does keep your streak intact? You have personal experience with that?
