Thanks for your reply. I went for the workout anyway and honestly I kind of regret it as my arms really hurt now. Will probably hold off returning to weights until Sunday. Now I know!

I'm in.

I don't anticipate it having much effect on me... I don't eat much meat anyway, and regardless I'm sticking to the same calorie goals.

Happy to find this thread. I've suffered from IBS-D since I was a young kid (7 or 8). For a while I got too frustrated with tests and drugs so I swore off doctors and just dealt with the pain. At its peak I was having severe pain and diarrhea (not to get too graphic but sometimes I couldn't be far from a bathroom for…

It's one weekend, I think as long as you eat in moderation and go for the "better" foods than the worse foods, you won't come out much worse for the wear after. Steer clear of stacking, don't fill up on challah, and just eat small portions! One day does not a diet ruin.

Awesome!!!

Awesome. I'm dying to see onederland... only 5 pounds away... eeeeeeks!

100 pounds deserves a HUGE celebration! I know you have the strength to continue.

Amazing work so far, I admire your dedication! So sorry about your sister.

There's alot of "you can eat whatever you want" here, and to a degree that is true. But if you want to make a sustainable, life-long change, you shouldn't exactly eat whatever you want. If you eat all of your daily allotted calories in Doritos and chocolate, you will be HUNGRY. Seriously: two bags of doritos and a…

I'm a little bit of an obsesser also, in that I think about food pretty much 24/7 (yes I dream about it) - what have I eaten already, what should I eat next, if I eat this will I also be able to eat this, should I workout for an hour just so I can eat that. Oh and I spend a ****load of timethese days on MFP forums.... so…

Me, me!

I guess I'm "officially" 1200, but I eat anywhere from 1,000 to 1,500 a day. Always up for new friends!

I didn't eat that differently than I do, just ALOT MORE of it. I've always liked "healthy" food - quinoa, tofu, rice, couscous, lots of veggies, no red meat. I never ate out very often - at times only once or twice a month. I definitely ate more carbs then (I eat some now, just less), and I ate junk food at work, I have a…

Hey y'all, I'm 5'2", currently about 208 (down from a high of 226) and hoping to lose a LOT more. I do sometimes feel like it sucks to be so short - I can't really lose eating more than 1200-1300 a day, which is not so much! Even when I'm (hopefully!!) in maintenance mode us short ladies get about 1,600 a day, which also…

Ha, just found this hilarious thread. I am what some of my friends call an "uber-Jew," but I play well with all kinds. Always open to new friends! OP, is your real name Netanya or is that your adopted Jewish name?

Thanks for all the responses. I don't usually go past 1,600 per day on the weekends so I don't feel too bad and like I have to "work it off" the rest of the week, but I do feel like the temptations are so constant. One more slice of challah? No. Just one cookie? No. Especially when Shabbat is so long - I don't know why but…

Welcome! Feel free to add me. I have quite a bit more to lose than 28 pounds, but I'm sticking to it and you'll see me around here pretty often!

You guys do mean EVOO - extra virgin olive oil - right? Or is this some new fad I'm unaware of.

This routine is a really good place to start for beginners and he walks you through it all: http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2009/12/09/beginner-body-weight-workout-burn-fat-build-muscle/

I have my friend's wedding that I'm a bridesmaid for in three weeks, then my cousin's wedding in September then my brother's wedding in November! Have set mini goals for all of them.

Honey, I think at this point you really need to focus on healing and getting well for your kids, not on losing. Eating that low, even when you're bedridden, is just going to speed down your healing process. If your appetite is low, try asking whoever's doing your shopping to buy some of your favorite foods to peak your…

Yesss you pretty much did exactly what I want to and you look amazing! Inspiration to keep me going, for sure.

Great work, keep it up! You're an inspiration.

This is gonna sound pretty damn weird but taking two slices of turkey deli, adding a smear of hummus between and eating as a sandwich (or rolling up like a burrito) is delicious and only about 50 calories. If you're more of a sweet snacker obviously fruit, I also LOVE Trader Joe's Ice Cream BonBons - they're tiny little…

You can add me as a friend if you want to see what I eat everyday (anywhere from 1100 to 1400 though). I eat lots of roasted vegetables, tofu, eggs, low-fat cheese, fruit. I'm a snacker so sometimes I eat small meals to allow for snacks, but that's just me. ETA: For the record, this isn't the right message board for this…

Wow, you are totally, amazingly incredible, and absolutely an inspiration!!

Hi there - I'm 23, and about 15 pounds in to my 100-pound goal. Add me!!

When I saw "binged" I was expecting 3 cheeseburgers, an ice cream sundae and a king-size Twix bar. Half a box of Special K is only about 600 calories, which isn't life-breaking. (Not that any binge is). Tomorrow is another day and keep moving on from there. I understand the difficulty of a 1200 calorie limit, I'm eating…

Love this. Just had this conversation with a friend today, how smokers can go 25 hours on Shabbat without smoking, but not even 2 hours during the week, and how I can go 6 hours without snacking on anything dairy, but if I'm not meat that cheesecake is in serious danger. I don't eat meat very often but this idea has some…
