Near Grass Valley CA here. Just getting back in to running and eating better. Add me if you'd like I need buddies.

I'd love to have some runner friends too. Life happened and I haven't ran but a handful of times since Jan. So I'm basically starting over with running and weight loss. I follow the Jeff Galloway Run/Walk/Run method and my next race is a 10K at Disneyland in Nov.

Good luck ladies, but make sure you realize the road you're putting yourself on. I retired from the AF a year ago so I know first hand the struggle of being overweight and under the pressure of passing a PT test every six months. The AF is cracking down on PT failures and kicking folks out who cannot maintain standards. So…

-
Nope! :-)

I've had mine for 6 years and I L-O-V-E it! I have very small wrists, and yes it is big, but I don't notice it when I run.

I think I figured it out. I was just counting my left steps, so I needed to double all my steps...

I did it today. I hope I did it right. It seems a bit much. I'm only 4' 11' and according to the calculator, I got 80 steps in 100 meters, for 49" stride and 60 steps running for 66"stride. That seems big for me since that was only running at around an 11:30 mile pace, so it was an easy pace...

Hey there. Please make sure that is something you're willing to keep up for your entire military career. I'm sitting at 19 yrs, 4 months, active duty Air Force. It doesn't get easier when you join. There are a lot of folks coming in that had to lose weight beforehand, and they are still struggling. I don't want this to…
