I run over lunch two or three days per week.

I'm a few months into my running journey, so, heck, I'll just jump right into this group. :) I PRed on a 5k this weekend at 26:22.

Maybe it's time for you to take on more of the cooking responsibilities.

I dunno. I have two kids under three, a very demanding corporate job, and am pursuing my master's in statistics. I'm what you could call busy. I still make time to work out 5 days per week by skipping lunches with coworkers and eating at my desk after personal training. All of that said, smug peers are not an effective…

I'm done having kids. My body is my own again. It's much easier to stay motivated when I know that all of my hard work is not about to be undone by another pregnancy. :)

Replace the meats that you've been eating with beans. Lots of fiber, lots of protein, cholesterol-free.

lol, thanks. They're a work in progress. :P

I agree with the sentiments above. Cut out your processed sugars, and don't worry about your naturally occurring fruit and vegetable sugars. If the sugar comes with fiber, you're usually good to go (within moderation).

I would keep baggies of cut up bell peppers, grapes, berries, carrots, celery, etc. in the refrigerator. I'd eat the veggies with hummus and eat a handful of almonds once or twice a day. If you eat sandwiches, make sure the bread is whole grain. That's my healthy snack plan.

Sure, fruit sugar is the same as sugar found in processed foods, but fruit sugar comes with all of the other wonderful nutrients found in fruit (like fiber). If you're going to limit your sugar consumption based on the FDA's (insane) nutrition guidelines, cut the sugars found in processed foods, and keep that apple. If…

Going vegan really is not a drastic "diet". You're consuming plenty of calories, protein, calcium, etc. You just aren't eating garbage, processed foods.
-
If you cut chocolate out completely, you're asking for an insane chocolate binge at some point in the future. I eat dark chocolate several nights per week within my macros, and it doesn't cause me any problems. Just eat healthier chocolate in moderation.

Your motivation is inspirational. Way to go!

Definitely do not cut down to 1200 calories if you are breastfeeding. Your supply will tank.

I'll offer my perspective. I have a 42lb 3 year old. She has been diagnosed as obese. She eats a vegetarian, well-balanced diet and regularly runs around like crazed toddlers tend to, swims, rides her bike, etc. She is also in the process of recovering from severe acid reflux and the excessive weight gain that it caused…

Another vote for the Fiona bras. They're supportive and reasonably priced.

Um, awesome.

Avocado, broccoli, spinach, tempeh, hemp seeds, hemp milk, amaranth, lentils. All full of protein. :)

I have the FT7. It works well for my personal training and running. I like that I can analyze my progress and have a more accurate measure of calories burned, fitness training vs fat burn, etc.
-
I also love my Polar FT7. :)

I started the group training class offered at my work gym. I workout with coworkers/friends, and we all notice when someone doesn't make it. It is socially and physically fulfilling, and the peer pressure is the only thing that has ever kept me exercising.

You actually should not eat that differently in first tri. That tiny little embryo doesn't take that much energy. :) http://www.babycenter.com/0_pregnancy-weight-gain-what-to-expect_1466.bc "Eat a healthy diet while you're pregnant and ask your doctor or midwife to help you set up an exercise program that's right for you.…

I love Fage with strawberry. The sweetness of the strawberry mixture cuts the tartness of the yogurt.

I've been vegetarian for four years now. :)

Coconut water is a great source of potassium, but, yes, it has a lot of sugar.

I have a fairly severe anxiety disorder and have only recently gained any control. Can you find an empty classroom on campus? Or perhaps a study room at the library? There are plenty of empty rooms at a university; you just have to get creative. More importantly, though - I can tell you that it is possible to overcome your…
