  • I love smoothies and LOVE my Vitamix blender. It can also make soups, hummus, purees, "nice" cream.... Well worth the money. I've had mine for almost 5 years and it's a monster of a machine.
  • Overnight Oats: 1/2 cup quick oats, 1/2 cup almond milk, 1/3 cup frozen blueberries and 1 tsp agave!
  • That documentary - WOW! Reinvigorating, if you ask me! Even my meat-eating hubby has decided to dramatically reduce his animal intake and increase wonderful fruits, vegetables, beans and seeds! Exciting documentary, more like it. Bravo to you as well!
  • I've never been a big animal product/meat eater, ever since I was 3 years old and refused to eat a hamburger. All through my life, from child to teen and adult, I rarely ate meat, but would have processed lunch meat and cheese sandwiches and egg products with no issues. I sat down in August 2015 and watched a documentary…
  • Hello! I went vegan August 2015 and though I knew about WFPB, it seems it took me a long time to commit to it. However, I've been eating only WFPB for about two months now and I'm very happy with the results. My goal is optimal health, but the weight loss isn't a bad side effect. I'm open to more plant based friends, so…
  • Sunny Southern California
  • I'm 4 years Vegan, about 3 months WFPB, all following GBOMBS and ETL! Woo hoo, way to go! I'm excited to say my energy levels have increased dramatically as well, I'm very excited for my future years.
  • Please read Eat to Live by Dr. Joel Fuhrman. Once you read that book, you can decide how best to move forward. Keto/Paleo/Mediterranean diets all have limitations and things that are not the healthiest. I wish you nothing but the best, and this book will show you the way to true health. I'm also currently reading his other…
  • Vegan since 2015. Also looking for more vegan friends on here, please add me. WFPB/Nutritarian currently :)
  • I'm 40 years old and in need of some new friends on here, to help keep me motivated! Vegan, leaning towards plant-based/nutritarian. You don't have to be the same to be my friend :) Please feel free to add me. Thanks!
  • I've also watched Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead and I do believe in juice fasting. I drink all sorts of juice on a daily basis, but this is also my fallback recipe as well, it's so good for you and delicious! Juice on!
  • I log every single day, and I love everything I eat and drink, including condiments and zero calorie drinks such as tea. Feel free to add me as a friend! I have an open food diary as well, and I know I could use the encouragement.
  • The only reason I want to add additional work outs during the day is because I have a lot of weight to lose, about 85 pounds. I'm fully committed to my weight loss for health reasons, so I just wanted some extra thoughts on ways to stay active during the day, when I have a sedentary job.
  • These are all great ideas. I just bought a Sole E35 elliptical and it's being delivered to my home tomorrow, so my plan is to do cardio/strength training in the morning before work! I like the stairwell idea a lot, though we do not have stairs here. I work in the sales office of an ice cream manufacturing company in…
  • Oh, I also have 3lb weights that I use at my desk a few times a day as well.
  • I'm going on a trip to Hawaii in October and I was just considering the same thing, how faithfully I would log, and if I would even want to. But it all comes down to how bad you want to stay on track to becoming truly healthy. I don't think that once a day, logging your food, would hurt. To me, that still leaves plenty of…
  • Wow, people like to send out a lot of negativity on here. Listen, this post was meant for people who agree with me on juicing. Why do you all feel like you need to give nothing but hate?
  • The people who do not investigate juicing will never know the true benefits. Juicing still gives you soluble fiber, btw. You also will never get the same amount of vitamins by just eating whole foods.
  • I also chew my food, thanks. What I'm talking about is the rush of vitamins and nutrients that you could never get with just eating, you'd never be able to eat that much per day. It's all about the health benefits, so I don't understand the cynicism.
  • Cheese is my kryptonite as well! My small step for today was to make sure I cooked a healthy meal for dinner last night, with enough left over for a healthy lunch today! Meal prep and planning is KEY!
  • I find whenever I fill myself up with vegetables and grains, I am never hungry! You can stuff yourself on vegetables, it's the greatest thing ever!
  • My life changed on August 7, 2015 after watching Forks over Knives. I've been Vegetarian ever since, with a slow transition to vegan/wfpb. I'm a work in progress, but I do not eat meat! Striving to be a complete vegan for health reasons mostly, but most definitely for compassion of animals and the planet. Anyone feel free…
  • It's always a journey, full of ups AND downs... You're mentally ready, so keep taking the steps to get to your goal! I always share my diary, and I'm very happy to help you, if you'd like! I log daily and will definitely cheer you on :)
  • Hi mykaylis, I suggest if you have netflix you watch a documentary called Forks over Knives. I watched this on August 7th of this year and it literally is saving my life. From August 7th until now, I have made a circle coming back to fully raw food, which I haven't conquered yet. :) Raw food is amazingly good for you and…
  • Not so, dark leafy greens such as kale and chard are actually the most nutritionally dense foods on the planet. And there are also MANY ways of getting protein other than meat, it's in so many plants it's amazing. I changed to vegan this year on August 7th and have never looked back. I never liked eating animals my whole…
  • I printed my week as well, and I really hope to accomplish it all! One foot in front of the other...
  • Thank you for the attached mini challenges for the week! I am eager to give this a try :0)
  • I was going through my closet last week in the morning while getting dressed for work. It was a chilly day, so I grabbed a pretty blue shirt from my "winter wear" to casually throw on and I couldn't help but smile seeing how this once tight shirt, was now loose and baggy. It was one of those small victories that I wouldn't…
  • Great work, we're already seeing the great results!
  • Hi Gothica9910, I also have hypothyroidism! I am finding that by staying on my medication and eating a healthy balanced diet (why not throw in some exercise!) it's staying at a normal level. My energy has increased dramatically in the past month since I went vegan, actually whole food plant based. You can do it! It's all…
