  • http://www.outerbanksmarathon.com/race-info/southern-fried-half.htm I also found this one. Has anyone done the 1/2 marathon at the Outer Banks in NC?
  • I heard that one was pretty hilly?? Have you done that one before?
  • Myself as well. I also think it depends on your body type. I've always played sports and my legs have always been bigger, not the skinner type ones. I know I can get down below 200, but definitely not the lower numbers some of these ladies are at. Not that I want to short myself, but I think a reasonable goal for me is 170.
  • I love that photo. I've also had red ones, but they fade to lighter...white/silver like others have said. I wish it meant you were loosing :)
  • Yeah I mean, I totally have so much fun with him and he makes me laugh, which is a BIG item for me. I don't usually date guys with darker features and after trying to stay with my "type" for so long, I'm trying to branch out and get a different result. This one is definitely different that anyone else I've dated. I'm also…
  • I agree with this. In my first marriage it was very similar. I was giving and he was taking. I didn't communicate well because every time I tried, I got the little boy tantrum similar to what you described, so eventually it just wasn't worth it. I would shut down. Looking back, we shouldn't have been married, got married…
  • This is only my 2 cents so take it for what it's worth, everyone's got a lesson they learned. I feel totally comfortable with my guy "looking", but not oogling other women. At a point (different for everyone) it becomes disrepectful to me. We've talked about it and understand that it's only natural to recognize beauty in…
  • This is a funny topic, but I totally agree. I have the white girl disease. I looked at my butt in the mirror tonight and I was like DURN where did it go. Not that I ever had a lot, but man is it really gone now. I do have the boobs, so maybe that's where it went LOL
  • I haven't had them that LONG, but I DO love a mac and my iphone!
  • I was also wondering how much is too much. This week I've gone over my goal exercise minutes per week and calories per week, so does that mean I'll loose more? I do eat the calories, but I just noticed it this week, so I"m not sure of the effect quite yet.
  • I do the same, but I don't do it everyday. Just if I'm doing more walking than normal. If I'm doing just normal walking around the office, I use it as cushion knowing I at least worked off those many calories that I've already entered.
  • I have the same problem. If I eat breakfast, I'm hungry all day. If I don't eat breakfast, I can maintain my intake better.
  • I'm 5'10" plus and my starting weight in September was 230+ (can't remember exact number and don't want to). My current is 206, how did you loose that much between December and now? I'm kind of sad that my weight loss hasn't been as quick. I keep my calories between 1200 and 1500 and I don't eat calories earned most of the…
  • I think MFP is a tool and it's only as good as you use it, but you might not want to track the exercise if you have a good idea. For me I like seeing the numbers in black/white. I also know that it's not exact because I try to pick things that are already in the database that are close to what I'm eating, but might not be…
  • Wow you guys have shared some good stuff. I'm going to try HIIT maybe.
  • I'd like to know too. I've heard that running is the best way though, but I'm no expert.
  • I agree because I think the same way about men. While my friend is really attracted to skinny men, I soooo totally am not. I think it would be boring if everyone looked the same way. I will NEVER be those measurements, but I don't want to be either. I'm 5'11" my hips are probably 38, boobs 36 and waist I'm not sure, but…
  • .............be able to wear a two piece proudly annnnddddd turn all the boys heads.....
  • Date A LOT!! lol ;)
  • I've finally broken the 20lbs mark. Yippee. I'm finally feeling my clothes being baggy, but I'm NOT giving them up yet. I want to keep loosing and don't want to purchase new clothing to just by more again later. People are noticing too which is always nice. Keep up the good work ladies.
  • You go girl. I'd LOVE to loose 15 lbs by end of January, but I can not at this time fit 7 days a week in at the gym. I do 1 hour total at least 3 times a week and so far I've lost 20 lbs in 3 months. If I upped it, I know I could do 15 lbs by end of January, but who knows. Good luck though!
  • Yeah I'm eating under 1500 daily. I hardly ever go over. I exercise 3 times at least a week, i guess I need to find more time to go. Being a single parent I can only go when he's also in an activity. The child care offered at the gym is geared more towards toddlers. I would love to go more and make it a daily thing.
  • I'm also 5'10". They started noticing like last week, but I only have about 30 or 40 more lbs to go to get where I want to be. So I think the more you have to loose the longer it takes for people to notice. I totally understand though, it's such a positive reinforcement to have people notice! But good job. I feel like I…
  • So what's the secret for you? Lots of Cardio? how many times to you work out a week? I'd LOVE to loose that much in 3 months.
  • Thanks for posting, it helps us newbies. :)
  • I agree with this. Also cardio cardio cardio. As much as I hate to run for at least 30 mins when I work out, it has proven to work for me. I also do this exercise where your lower body is at a 45 degree angle and lean on it until it's to your hip. The waist up is free to move to the right or left depending on how you are…
