  • I have PCOS too. I've lost 56lbs since Jan. Its been very slow going but I figure at least its going. I work out twice as hard/long as my friends and see half the results on the scale. I do notice that I lost more inches than them probably due to muscle gain at the same time as fat loss.
  • Down 56 and always freezing! But hey I will take throwing on a sweater over throwing 56lbs back on ANY DAY!
  • Count me in! My goal was to lose 30lbs by the end of the year but what the heck..40lbs would be even better!!!!
  • That is such a bad break. I'm sorry for your misfortune. Maybe try swimming. Its what I do when I can't run for whatever reason and its just as good a workout.
  • I know how tough and discouraging it is but you have the right attitude. Please don't give up hope. I say I am lucky to have my 3 children but what I didn't mention is that I lost 6 pregnancies over the 11 years between the first and the second. My second was concieved right after I had miscarried and given up. We didn't…
  • So I'm not alone!!!!! I am in the same boat as most of you posters. I was diagnosed in Nov of last year. Although I am certain i've had PCOS my whole life. I never had a TOM until I was 17 and was put on the pill. At the time I was told I did not have enough body fat because I was so athletic. IMAGINE THAT!!!! I am one of…
  • great topic! Here's some of my favorite running songs but I am always looking for ,new ones .. • Thanks everyone for your input! I asked the fitness trainer at the gym and he said I should go by the HRM. The treadmill and MFP don’t know my exertion level and the HRM does. The HRM also has all of my personal stats. I am however going to go with the middle number when recording my workout on MFP since I would rather be…
  • Isn't it funny how our minds play tricks on us?! I do know exactly how you feel but I've only lost 30lbs. My husband keeps telling me that I am not as big as I think I am. He keeps "flirting" with me and telling me he likes what he sees and I keep thinking he's just being nice. And my friends and co-workers comments are…
  • I'd love breathable pants with enough elastic in the waste to stay up! I run and have "thunder thighs" but no badunkadunk to hold my pants up. That and a running bra that tames the girls better! While my husband finds my 38DD's bobbing all over the place amusing, I find it very annoying. I've resorted to wearing two sports…
  • I've been MIA for a while on this board. Here's my update. I've taken up running again and am almost at the point where I enjoy it!! I am down 17lbs with 33 to go fo this challenge!!! That's 34%. I am starting to actually believe I can do this. 1/1/2011 258.5 1/8/2011 256 1/15/2011 254 1/22/2011 251 1/29/2011 249…
  • I can relate. There is a beautiful 10K trail around a lake near my house. I've been running for a few weeks now and thought I was up to a pretty good pace. Well when I ran on this trail yesterday everyone was flying by me like I was standing still. I was so embarrased, I eventually left and went running on an empty track…
