if you're training for a marathon and have the fitness of an athlete high carbs will be fine. other than that, you should be eating equal quantities of protein to carbs.
-
Not all fat is bad for you..... turkey, chicken, egg whites, greek yogurt - all very low in fat
-
totally agree
-
high carbs and low nutrient food? Try to increase your lean protein intake and drop the processed foods
-
protein shake peanut butter eggs and egg whites cheese turkey chicken fish - especially tuna
-
why do you care about the calories? Its healthy fats and full of protein! i eat about a tablespoon a day, look for the whole earth organic crunchy type. Also, holland and barrett do all nut butters, they're easy to get hold of in the UK. But still high calorie!!

It works, but is more beneficial for bruises in my opinion
-
exactly. You're wasting your time on the elliptical trainer
-
no

get a stronger band? Try a red or green. I didn't like the bands for pull ups either so I now use a chair to support one leg for pull ups. Has a far greater impact - but still miles away from a pull up you need a pull up bar if you're serious about doing the programme (I'm guessing you're not ready at the moment)

nuts, cheese, avocado, peanut butter.....

i did it, lost 10lbs and 22cm - mostly off my waist (7.5cm) & bust (6cm). I did watch what i ate, and limited to 1300 cal a day

I'm 5'11'' and love it. Sure you're heavier, but you have amazing legs :) I saw a difference at around 28lbs.
-
shakes have fewer calories and fewer carbs

Stress perhaps? I gained a couple of stone when i quit smoking. I've lost it now, but I know I couldn't until i removed certain stresses from my life Are you eating enough protein? And are you checking your calorie intake? You may *think* you're being healthy when in fact you're not!
-
http://www.myprotein.com/uk/products/total_protein 46g protein each serving and only 2.4g carbs
-
I always have a hemp protein shake - i normally have a snack around 10/11 of cheese or turkey
-

thanks for the advice all - i think I will give KB's a miss as I don't want to overtrain!
-
exercise and eat more. I'm doing the p90x, but my calorie allowance from myfitnesspal is around 1220. Not. Gonna. Happen. I've increased it to a minimum of 1400

add in the break days so you do a full 30, however, its really short so you should be able to do 30 days back-to-back. My advice is don't expect miracles from the 30ds, my results were 10lbs lost & 22.5cm (most my chest and waist).
-
just did day 1 of p90x classic. It was ok, although I'm not getting the most out of it. Theres only so many push ups i can do!
-
i had 2kg weights - nothing else
-
myprotein - buy online and get the whey protein.
-
start with a 8kg kettlebell, and expect painful hamstrings!!
-
i finished it today. I lost 10lbs, and 22.5cm all over, mostly from my chest and waist. Not bad for 30 days
