p90x classic - should i do additional cardio?

So, like it says on the topic, do i want to add in extra carido to the p90x? I am planning on adding in kettlebells on certain days

    I would say it depends on the person, I know several people that do P90X in the a.m & a different w/out in thr p.m I find P90X tough enough to be honest.

    Also I would be concerned that kettlebell w/outs are resistance & not cardio orientated & I would be worried that your body won't have time to recover properly.

    True. My first week in p90, I was running or doing Ripped in 30 in the mornings. I think I'll stick to running 3 mornings a week and relax the others. P90X is tough enough.

    If you can handle it, go for it! Also, you should consider getting Insanity. I am doing a hybrid of P90X/Insanity and it is the best of both worlds. I get the lifting from P90X and the cardio from Insanity. Love it!

    thanks for the advice all - i think I will give KB's a miss as I don't want to overtrain!

    P90X is an all inclusive training program. It works you hard 6 out of 7 days of the week and as it is right now that's already risking overtraining if you're not in good shape. Adding in more, especially more resistance training such as KBs, WILL lead to overtraining regardless of fitness level.
