  • I drink it almost every day and it hasn't helped with weight loss at all. I drink it because I like it, and want caffeine (I can't drink coffee).
  • I don't mind cooking but when I slack off on it it's because of time and energy. While working full time and taking night classes, and going to my boyfriend's place on weekends an hour away from my place - meal prep is hard to make time for. Plus I don't have a dishwasher so ugh...so many dishes. I am doing better with it…
  • When I get my afternoon sweet craving after lunch at work, instad of going for a cookie or chocolate bar I suck on a Werther's. They are super sweet, last a while, and only a few calories (I think 18?) I also give myself challenges. Like, no Kraft dinner for a month (it's a weakness of mine). Not being able to have it for…
  • My girl cat was from a cat rescue place. They specialized in rescuing feral kittens but they never told me her story and it's hard to believe there is any feral cat in her recent background because she is a very naive cat when it comes to the outdoors. I don't think she'd last long. Luckily she never asks to go out so I…
  • Put some kibble in the cat's bowl so he doesn't wake me up meowing in the wee hours, wash up, brush teeth, turn out all the lights except my bedroom, curl up in bed and play on my phone until I'm sleepy. (I'm referring to the nights my boyfriend is not there).
  • IBS since I was a teenager - I think it likely goes hand in hand with my anxiety disorder. I have it mostly under control now, thankfully. Greasy food, big meals, dairy (sometimes), and red meat heavy meals all still make it flare up, as does stress, or even just eating very differently than usual. So, smaller portions and…
  • Awesome job and thank you for sharing your story. I too lost a bunch and then gained some back and am committed to getting back there!
  • Yup, in 2013 I was down 44 pounds and only 6 pounds from my goal weight. Then I hurt my back and had to stop running. That drastically affected my motivation and a slacked on the food side of things and gained back 24 pounds.
  • That's awesome! I should check mine too. I feel like I've slimmed out a bit but the scale isn't showing anything.
  • We are in such a similar state! I am 5.7.5", 35, and have been bouncing between 168 and 171 for a while now. I'm going to send you a friend request and anyone else here can add me too :)
  • I have pics from a few months ago and I don't think my body has changed that much since then so I will use those to compare. I might not share them until I have an after!!
  • I really should have done this at the beginning of the challenge. Even though my weight hasn't dropped, I do seem to have slimmed out the mid-section a bit. At least I took measurements at the beginning! I may still do some pics :)
  • Last week I joined a yoga studio near my apartment so I'm pretty happy about that. Aiming to go 2-3 times per week. I got lots of walking and general activity in over the long weekend and my eating wasn't too crazy. I did go up a couple of pounds, but managed to get them back down. So far I'm basically breaking even with…
  • For me the best thing I learned is to stay away from too much greasy food, and don't eat too much in one sitting. Whenever I pig out or have lots of greasy food it's bad. Also, eating yogurt regularly has helped a lot, even though other dairy can trigger it. Food doesn't have to be bland! You just have to figure out your…
  • We mostly do outdoors stuff, walks at the beach, and hiking. I'm pretty big into hiking and he enjoys it too so I actually bought him some hiking clothes for Christmas and his birthday. Depending on how much time we have we will either just do a quick walk somewhere close by, or a short hike further out, or a longer hike.…
  • I've been eating plain greek yogurt with a touch of honey to sweeten it, and I mix in fruit, chia seeds and hemp hearts. I often just use frozen berries and put them in the night before to thaw.
  • I will send you a request :)
  • I wouldn't necessarily call myself an introvert, but I know what it's like to deal with health issues (I have chronic pain in my back). Feel free to add me :)
  • I'm going to send you a friend request! My diary is open. I've learned some things along the way - I lost 44 pounds, but have put about half back on because I slacked off, so trying to get back there.
  • Thanks @bruhaha007 - we have talked about it. He is going to have less of that stuff in the house (he currently has a bit of a stockpile of candy and whatnot) and keep it in the cupboard above the fridge so I don't see it. I find that I don't really think of that kind of food that much, but when I walk past and see it, I…
  • I'm not sure where you are located but Panago has Daiya cheese :)
  • I keep bouncing around the same few pounds. I do well and lose during the week, and then undo my work on the weekend. Part of the challenge is that I spend the weekends mostly with my boyfriend who is naturally thin and always has pop, chips, cookies, candy and beer in the house. Plus we were running around doing errands…
  • I'm big into being honest with my friends, in the nicest way possible. I don't think you should have to sacrifice your workout time to keep her happy, and a good friend will understand that as long as you still make time for her. Could you tell her that you need to up the intensity level to achieve your goals and will…
  • I bought two cans. Threw out the first one after one sip and gave the second one to a friend who likes it. So nasty. And I'm not a picky eater at all.
  • Beans have been mentioned but also lentils! I prefer lentils personally and they can also be bought in bulk pretty cheap. Also using chick peas you could make your own hummus as well to add some protein to your snacks.
  • I like to mash up some mint leaves along with some lemon slices. Or, mint and mushed up strawberries is delicious too.
  • I like sriracha and some cheese on my scrambled eggs, with a bit of diced fried onion as well. Yum.
  • You could also make your own granola/protein bars. There are lots of healthy recipes for them online.
  • I think for me it is 50-50. The weight loss is mostly food, but the fitness is really important to me because I have major back issues and being fit will help with that, and also because hiking is my passion, and I need to be fit to do the tough ones (which is usually where the best views are!)
  • @sixlees that's awesome!
