I too am struggling. RNY surgery in April 2012. Lowest weight 175 from SW of 305. Now 5 years out I have put on 50 pounds! I hate myself for slipping. I know I need to get back to basics and eat the right things, not indulge so much at happy hour, those type of things......so now what??

Congrats on the new addition :) My cousin had Gastric and was pregnant within 6 weeks of her surgery. She struggled and her baby was born 2 months early.....but everyone is the exception. Rachel is a healthy happy 2 yo today and has a brand new baby sister to play with. Having PCOS and being infertile prior to surgery does…

I usually log after my meals. Half the time if I can't figure out how much I actually ate...I mean how do you calculate two bites of a turkey sandwich really???? I just count the whole thing. But that's just me :)

Sorry to hear about the troubles you had after surgery, but glad to know you are doing well now. Everyone is different. I consider myself lucky b/c I had hardly any pain (did take my meds on the clock though), but stopped all pain meds about 4 days after surgery. No vomitting at all, only the "foamies" and nausea once or…

I love the LC wedges too! In place of cream cheese, I use them on a deli flat or flatout bread and add smoked salmon and some thinly sliced onion. Like lox on a bagel but less calories, yum :)

I had Gastric Bypass on April 2nd, 2012. Best day of my life so far, the best thing I could have ever done for my health! Congrats to you both on your weight loss thus far. There is even more to lose in the future if you do what you are supposed to. I was pretty much on liquids for the first two weeks post-op and then…

Awesome stats! I am 2 months post-op and have lost about 42 pounds so far. We are similar in starting weight and heights, so it will be interesting to see if our weightloss each month is the same. Question: did you exercise and if so what were you doing? ~Windy

Hi Lilli! Congrats on the weight loss, you seem to be doing really well. I had Gastric RNY on 4/2/12 and I am down 42 pounds so far. So far this surgery has been very easy for me, no real complications and I feel great. Welcome to the group :)
