  • Try reading Feeding the Hungry Heart by Geneen Roth. This book was helpful for me when going through a very difficult time in my life. There are also many other excellent books and websites under emotional eating.
  • I have similar problems with vegetables and fruits. After looking at various websites, I learned that cooking vegetables and fruits helps with their digestion. Do not eat raw or dried fruits/ veggies. Avoid seeds and nuts, also chocolate and caffeine.

  • Would acupuncture help with pain relief? I am finding it helpful in keeping me upright, and minimal use of pain meds. I started once a week a year ago, and now go every 7-10 days. It doesn't cure all ills, but it is such a big help with my pain issues.

  • Hooray, Scott. I hope you have a positive report from your MD. I'm having an easier time limiting my salt intake than I thought. Some days are still higher than I'd like, but overall am doing better. I'm going to visit family in about 12 days. I hope I can keep up the good habits.
