  • Not having much on my to-do list today, this challenge reminds me that I have piles of my mother-in-law's stuff I need to go through, organize, and get rid of!! Looks like a good day to tackle that project! And, as a side note, I often stand at my kitchen island when I'm on my laptop. It is a HUGE first step to quitting…
  • I'll go for the alternate challenge because I talk on the phone A LOT!!! That being said, I will also try to get up during commercials this evening (though they usually get fast-forwarded!)
  • My goal is to log on to this challenge every day to help keep me motivated to SIT LESS!!! I have achieved my "one thing" for the first two days of the month (standing every time my iWatch tells me its time and thus achieving the minimum of 12 stands per day and striving for once every waking hour!). It sounds like a small…
  • The James Clear article was SO interesting!!! I can attest to the habit becoming automatic -- I find it true with my walking. An after dinner walk now is something I look forward to and EXPECT to do. The same with a morning walk in Arizona -- it is just "something I do".
  • I just checked my stand totals on my iWatch . . . I have 7 of my hourly goals attained and since I've been up for 10 hours I'm 3 behind! Going to make a bigger effort this evening!!! Hoping the challenge will keep me motivated to stand more/sit less!!!
  • I LOVE THIS POST!!!! I will be keeping that for my files. Today was a successful day. I managed to exceed all my targets today including steps (14,950 of 10,000), 659 of 590 calories burned, 71 of 30 minutes of exercise, and 11 of 12 "stands" for the day (but it's only 7PM!) -- all this according to my iWatch. I have also…
  • I recently joined the challenge and forgot to check it this morning. I'm happy to report that I DID have grapes today!!
  • I started a year ago and was aiming for 110 pounds. Today I only have 50 left! Do not be discouraged . . . the secret is DON'T QUIT. Quitting is the only way to fail. If you have a bad day, or a bad week, RESTART — as often as necessary!! Track even when you overeat. Always remember when things aren't going as you had…

  • I've just switched over from on-line Weight Watchers. I've lost nearly 60 pounds in 11 months and am motivated to lose the other 60. I'm looking for community strength! I credit the community for making me successful thus far and am hoping to find the same support here!!
  • I'm also looking for friends who will help me stay focused and motivated!! Switching over from Weight Watchers and hoping to find the same sense of community. I've lost 60 pounds so far and have another 60 to go!!
  • Good morning ladies!! I'm new to your group but not new to the community. I have been on MFP on and off for about three years I think. I'd love to be part of an encouraging group of women my own age! I retired at the end of March and have been on a whirlwind of vacations since then . . . but it's time to buckle down and…
  • There are so many of us!! I need to lose 100+ pounds too. I've tried so many times but am determined to make it work THIS time!! I just started my blog last night . . . please read/follow me! It encourages me so much to know that someone reads my thoughts. Looking forward to becoming comrades!
