  • Beautiful! 33 pounds is a huge accomplishment!
  • I don't have before pics posted but my profile pic was from this morning. When I started I was 200# and now I am 167. I had rolls on my sides and back and my lower belly hung so low that I could not see my tatoo on my hip. Until I started weights and ab work, I looked like a skinny version of the 200# me. I started p90x…
  • Same here. P90x should be here Wednesday...think I am finally at a place where I can handle it. Not sure the eating is for me. I want to eat they way I will once the weight is gone. 19 pounds to goal. Good luck to you!
  • Yup. My husband calls me thick. Hips are 39 and upper thighs are 24 but I am good with this. If I loose a little more with my last 20 I have to loose that's fine but I am not expecting it...always been.
  • I looked horrible it pictures. Double chin and bags under my eyes. Whoa...I was only 36 and supposed to be in my prime! So I found this site and set the cal goal and stuck to it. Who knows how much I was eating before...I would guess 2500-3000 based on the choices. Now my motivation is loving what I see happening...cheek…
  • I have been here for going 200 days. Log every day, the good, the bad and the ugly. I am heading into my last 20 pounds to lose. After that I will decide if I want to keep going and lose more. I am great with advice and support...don't do cheerleading very well :) always up for new friends.
  • Sorry my reply was so short...child #3 is 8 today and I had lasagna in the oven and the timer went off. I was going to add that I love having friends here. Some days it is their dedication that gets my butt in the garage to work out after work at night! Not a big cheerleader but definately reply to questions and offer…
  • Hi! Mom of 4 and homeschooling too (except our eldest who is in high school now). :)
  • Me :) log everything. The good, bad and the ugly! On day 180 something. I love asking question and helping others but not big on rara everyday...only when I see something really great :)
  • It is hard. I don't know anything about PCOS but I have a mfp friend who lost 80 pounds and has PCOS and she is a huge fitness buff now...and damns her ovaries every month...beats them into submission with exercise :) I hope you stay with it...one meal choice at a time. One exercise routine at a time. Its worth it. Really.…
  • Yeah! Good post. Would love to have more women who are in the same life cycle as me. Anyone notice that weight is a little slower coming off than in the 20's?!? I am 37 and mom of four. Work full time and have dropped 25 pounds since May. SW:200 Goal: between 132 and 145. I'll know when I get there. Workout 5ish days a…
  • Workout at home because time is an issue with four kids and a full time job. When I first started working out I really wanted the group thing too, especially since I used to teach group step. But I wanted my time more. What ever I did I had to be able to do it as a lifestyle...thus the garage at home. I also make sure my…
  • Been here since May and log everyday. I love being able to ask questions when I hit stumbling blocks and reach out to others who are experiencing their own. I think this site has got to be the best method of weight loss ever. I have hit two plateaus and just kept going because of my mfp friends :) welcome and I am always…
  • I think we all get to a point where we start to question what the right answer is and to tell you the truth, there is no right answer. Depends on your body. I stumbled onto these two resources with the help of other mfp: search "in place of a road map". This post.was a great read to understand TDEE and has great info on…
  • Yes eat the reccommeded cals but increase up slowly (50-100 cals a week). If you want this weight loss to stick and not have to lose AGAIN then treat this like you have to do it for the rest of your life. I lost 50 pounds on WW too but it was a race and not a life style. I am consuming 1550 which is a healthy 15% below…
  • I was down 15 when the receptionist at work stopped me and asked "what are you doing?" I told here I was heating up lunch...and she laughed. Come to find out people were talking about me lossing weight and she wanted to know what I was doing to make it happen.
  • Been here since May and have only lost almost 14 pounds. Search "in place of a road map". With out looking at your diary can't comment too much but sounds like you are eating too little...which was my problem at the beginning. I started working out 3 times a week eating 1400 cals and not eating back much of those calories.…
  • Been here since May as well and have lost almost 14 pounds and have been bounding between the same 3 pounds for weeks. The only thing I have not tried is paying attention to the sugars. I seem to hit the limit with my coffee...hmmm. I am doing TDEE -20% so I know cals are not too low. Believe me, you're not alone!
  • I am a mom of 4, work full time (leave 7 am, home by 5:45 pm) and freelance many nights and weekends so going to a gym is out of the question. At first I thought the same thing as you...where do I find the time? I started with 3 days a week...2 of those days on weekends and one week day. Then I bumped up to 4 days, and now…

  • I love #3 with some sassy colored pointy toed heels! Heavy eye make up and nude color on the lips ;)
  • I have never posted here so forgive me if I do this wrong, but I and 5'6 and almost 37 and close to your weight. Allmost a month ago I bumped up to 1759 cals (TDEE for light activity --20%) from 1400 cals. I had gained weight going from 186 to 189 before a bumped. This month I put the scale away and ate my calories (making…
  • I just adjusted as well according to me TDEE and have bumped up calorie intake 1659. I have been stalled for almost a month. I also but the scale away for now. Body is changing for the good and was tired of being disappointed :)
  • Yup.. I stop lossing two week before and then have huge losses Two day after I start. I am frustrated so I put my scale away and will only weigh in once a month...two days after I start :) Gives me time to notice how I feel and and not just the number on the scale.
  • I weight every morning and right after I have cooled off from workouts. But if you can't handle the flux in numbers, don't weigh everyday. As soon as I see a weight loss I log it, even if it is only a few ounces, but I know the "gain" from day to day is just water or food.
  • I donate to women shelters or "dress for sucess" type places. Usually the womens sheltter have locations to drop off at since the shelters are not public for safety reasons. Contact your local human service agency.
  • Joined mid May and have lost 9# so far. Start weight was 185. GW 130. Love mfp and the community. Definately open to friend adds. People with common goals makes this journey so much nicer…
