What are your NSV? Are your clothes getting looser? Do you get winded less often when you workout? If so, then don't fret about those last pounds, they will fall off.

according to my trainer, you can't.... but this is a good thing. Lean muscle burns calories more efficiently, thus fat burns off more readily. I think I stated this correctly. So, your weight might bump up, but only for the short term as you build more lean muscle mass.

once a week at the same time of day, any more than that may be discouraging... at least for me.

I'll eat half the calories earned by exercise... but then again, I'm not eating all my daily calories either.

Way to go! Congrats!

No cheat day for me. I have to be honest about what goes in my stomach. I know that by cheating, I'll pay for it later.

My doctor had four rules to lose weight without exercising.... 1) give up caffeine. 2) don't eat anything that you have to rip open the package. 3) don't eat from fast food restaurants (hint: if it has a drive through, then it's fast food) 4) watch your salt. my old boss would add this one: 5) don't eat food that is white…

I think that you should look at inches lost instead of weight lost in cases like this. There are times when I did gain a little, but noticed that my pants were looser. Agreed that one pound of muscle weighs the same as one pound of fat, the difference is that muscle is denser than fat, so you'll notice the inches lost.

You rock! What inspiration you are to all of us!

Eating healthy is the lesson here. Most, if not all, of us got to where we are by eating whatever we want, whenever we wanted, and in portions that could have fed a few small third world countries. Coming to grips with eating healthy and to start moving (i.e. exercise) is the prime directive here.

Cardio is the first line of defense. Anything that gets your heart rate up is what you want. Time, not distance, is the key to a cardio workout.

this is what inspires me.... seeing what everyone else has done.... and done well and done healthfully.

I am at 335, but have lost 30 pounds since last October. Still losing. Joined MFP the other day and intend to match this with my weightwatcher material. I am TOTALLY motivated! I plan to be at goal around this time next year!
