  • .75- 1 cup "ish" plain greek yogurt .25-.5 cups "ish" mango puree 3 tablespoons fake sugar 5 ice cubes and a bit of water blend in personal size blender. the best shake you have ever had and only about 150-200 calories.
  • Deja Vu all over again. http://www.ocregister.com/articles/zimmerman-516572-black-blacks.html something is wrong in our country still with this kind of divide.
  • I've spent a lot of time in Japan and I think there is truth in the article. A lot of self-discipline there and expectation to meet cultural norms. DID YOU KNOW THAT THE GOVERNMENT MANDATES YOU TO GET PSYCHOLOGICAL HELP THERE IF YOUR BMI GETS TOO HIGH? Actually, I guess this is a good thing. I think most folks who are…
  • calories you don't record are called plateaus by people in denial
  • haha. awesome! thanks for sharing!
  • Larry, I just can't express how happy I am for you. Seeing your pictures is quite a amazing too! I am so happy to be on the journey together with you, and you have always been an encouragement and inspiration. It sounds like you are going through some tough times personally. As you said at least you are fit now and…
  • when I see someone going to gym who needs to lose weight I am happy for them. sometimes I go up and start talking to them just to be friendly. on the flip side if anyone is thinking something negative then I say F&*! THEM! IF they can't appreciate the fact that I am trying to better myself then they have some issues of…
  • Another great article from Dr. Gould.
  • Watch "When Harry Met Sally" and then get back to me. Billy explains it all in detail quite eloquently.
  • very nicely done. this person has too much time on their hands. lol.
  • there is a program desgined just for that. I get their weekly emails and enjoy them, but did not do the program. I guess it can be quite helpful. http://www.shrinkyourself.com/?v=60&bhcp=1
  • yup. and if you notice at amc there is a sneak peak pic of the episode of Rick crouching in the weeds with a gun. From the preview it looks like they will go into the prison (tombs) looking for Rick and company. But they will not be there. I guess Rick seals that door and Woodbury folks will have to fight their way through…
  • In case you are wondering the ugly yellow thing is a plastic pound of fat.
  • When you feel like going for a snack something like this in your pantry might make you think twice about your choice... or perhaps just choosing to do something else entirely. It works for me. :)
  • emotional eating is one of the primary causes of obesity. but it is something few admit to, and one of the reasons 95% of people who lose weight gain it back. they have not dealt with the core issue(s) of why they gained it in the first place. There are other reasons obesity is an epidemic in the USA of course, but I…
  • Another great article from Dr. Gould
  • Another great article written by Dr. Gould.
  • here's a list of my faves........ "Without change in mind, body and soul no weight loss can last (looking in the mirror). “Change will never happen when people lack the ability and courage to see themselves for who they are.” -Bryant H. McGill " “What lies behind us and what lies ahead of us are tiny matters compared to…
  • if you have a lot to lose, like morbidly obese, I've heard 30% is just fine from quite a few reputable sources like dieticians, doctors.
  • I'm not done yet either. I have a long way to go. Just taking it day by day. Have even had a few "bad" months. But through it all I just keep logging. Staying faithful to myself keeping track of where I am at.
  • I guess I should post my 2nd chance story. which one do you want to hear? I have a number of them. I'll do the lifestyle change one. MFP has changed my life. I've never stuck to a "diet" for 10 months before. I only missed one day logging on during that time. Even though everything has not been perfect and the weight loss…
  • Tyresse and sister will join prison group. so at least 2 of the prison group will die. at least that is how the show has done it up to this point. Woodbury has some heavy weapons and walkers bombs. Rick better have a planned counter, but looks like he does not from the previews. Dummy. he should not underestimate the gov…
  • Food for Thought. I don't struggle with this personally. but thought to repost this interesting article.
  • Some Sunday food for thought. I guess this is my primary struggle with food. I am using meditation, exercise, massage, and meditation to help with this. Dealing effectively with it is a process, at least it has been for me. I've read about studies that show 70% of people who are overweight struggle with this. However, the…
  • for this big of a conflict maybe several main characters die. I think only Rick is safe. Everyone else.. fair game. Can't kill them all, but I say at least 3 of the main current prison group will die before the end of the season.
  • One problem for the Woodbury though. you need to know how to operate that hardware. i guess those boys had some bazookas, high caliber weasons, those were some big vehicles they had in that episode with some serious firepower. But can they actually operate them. I wonder.... But automatic weapons against that stuff if they…
  • Remember... The Gov got all that military hardware from the guys he killed in one of the first episodes. That is why he is so smug and confident. He has an ace up his sleeve. But Merle certainly knows about all that stuff so why doesn't he tell the group about it? The prison group is certainly still outgunned against…
  • a great article. thank you. :)

  • really? what you have done is a huge accomplishment. I would hope you feel a great amount of pride in what you have done my friend! If you do feel any pride it is justified!
  • Loved this article. Though I think for some people there is not an emotional component. For some it is just a matter of changing bad habits and getting some new habit. But I would say those people are the exception, not the rule.
