I guess I should post my 2nd chance story. which one do you want to hear? I have a number of them. I'll do the lifestyle change one.

MFP has changed my life. I've never stuck to a "diet" for 10 months before. I only missed one day logging on during that time. Even though everything has not been perfect and the weight loss is relatively slow I lost an average of 4.4 pounds a month.

The results? I think maybe I might have just saved my life actually.

I've had so many positive health changes in the past 10 months.

Chronic pain in my right side just below ribcage (gall bladder) has gone away entirely.
Chronic should joint pain has went away. Flexibility in that area has greatly increased.
Blood pressure has gone down by 10 points.
Redness around my ankles have went away (means circulation is better).
Edema in shin area went away.
Feet no longer swell up when sitting at desk for extended period of time.
Callous building up on my heel has slowed dramatically.
Pain in both knees has gone away after sitting at desk for a few hours.
    Feel much more positive mentally.
    Skin has cleared up.
    GERD, acid reflux, is gone.
    Irritable Bowel Syndrome is gone.
Can fit into clothes I have not worn in 12 years.
“Feel” lighter when walking up the stairs.
Can keep up with my son when playing basketball.
Resting pulse went from 72 average to 58.
    Have much more energy overall.
Blood test came back great... doctor was like "why are you here?". Previous blood test was at risk for diabetes.

I'm not done yet either. I have a long way to go. Just taking it day by day. Have even had a few "bad" months. But through it all I just keep logging. Staying faithful to myself keeping track of where I am at.
