  • I like the Minute Maid water enhancers. Raspberry Lemonade is my favorite. The mango one...not so much.
  • I love the madras lentils
  • Just a pound? That could just be some poop lol. Seriously, don't sweat it. You're tracking your calories and starting to work out. Keep up the good work and you will see the weight come off eventually!
  • I'm trying to imagine how this would taste. The water, cranberry juice, and lemon sound good together. But I like tart beverages. I've never had dandelion root tea, but it sounds kind of...earthy tasting lol. I don't see anything harmful about this concoction, so if you already have everything on hand, drink up! Just make…
  • According to some recent "google" research I did... 200mg max if you have heart disease 300mg max for everyone else I don't know where these numbers come from or who came up with this. But, I did see it in a bunch of pages I was looking at. I have also read that dietary cholesterol has little to no effect on your…
  • I don't drink it anymore, but when I did, I preferred Diet Pepsi. I felt like Diet Coke tasted to "diety".
  • I try to keep my saturated fat low.
  • Good for you! If you are trying to lose weight, you need to cut calories somehow. Some people do it with added sugars, some don't. You're not doing anything harmful to your body by not putting sugar in your coffee. And you are not preaching to anyone either. I don't see an issue at all with the OP.
  • The girl is 15, not 6. She's old enough to decide what she prefers to eat. And she is also old enough to prepare her own food, if she doesn't like what is available. So, I am not seeing the problem with her choice to become vegan, like some others do. My advice would be to teach her about macro nutrients and for the first…
  • "Almonds have tiny nipples" LOLOLOLOL I'm dead now thanks!
  • Why did the breast milk comments get flagged? It's a drink that humans actually drink! I'm gonna go kick rocks for a little while about this lol.
  • I think most people know that almonds don't have titties lol :) I've made almond "milk" at home and it hasn't lost its appeal to me. Personally, I'd love to be able to drink human milk, but that is not socially acceptable for adults so whatevs...
  • If you find yourself low on protein everyday, a protein supplement would be a great idea if you'd rather just get a quick 25ish grams in by chugging it instead of preparing a meal. Shakeology is very expensive though. Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey has tons of good reviews and the Double Rich Chocolate flavor is really really…
  • Whole milk for my coffee. Unsweetened vanilla almond for everything else.
  • Glad it's working for you! I recently switched to a vegetarian diet (for non-weight loss reasons) and was having the opposite experience lol. I haven't gained weight, but I did stall a bit. It has taken a few weeks to figure out how to get my macros in without relying on packaged "vegetarian" products (not that there's…
  • Chia seeds expand when left in liquid. If you want to make the smoothies in advance, leave out the Chia seeds and just add them in whole right before drinking it.
  • I consider them a snack food just like any other candy/chocolate bar. Look at the calories, protein, carbs, and fat. Compare them with what you already have in your diary. If if fits in, go ahead and enjoy it!
  • To answer your question, some people think 100g or less is low carb. Then there are Atkin induction folks who go as low as 20g of carbs per day. I eat a lot of carbs (almost 200g a day sometimes) and I still manage to lose weight. I guess I would consider 100g or less to be low carb for me. If you want to drop the water…
  • I'm sure its fine, but if you don't feel comfortable with it, you can always just give him a glass of milk with every meal. Since he doesn't have a problem with veggies, give him the ones with the most protein...broccoli, spinach, etc. Kids go through phases. Mine do allllll the time and it so frustrating sometimes. All of…
  • Oh I see now. Yes, I should have added in my original response to this thread that I do not think ice cream is bad as a treat or even as a major part of someones diet, as long as they are not going over their calories on a daily basis due to their habit.
  • I'd have to tweak it so much to suit my preferences, that it wouldn't even be considered "paleo" anymore lol. I love white potatoes, peanuts, sugary stuff, and a bit of dairy way too much for me to be able to commit to that.
  • You might not know anyone personally who believes that, but there is a reply on page three from someone who says that they actually do feel satisfied after eating an ice cream treat. I guess everyone has a different view of what makes them feel "satisfied".
  • I guess it depends on the person. Some people think that high amounts of calories, fat, or carbs can give you a feeling of satiation, regardless of what food it is. And sometimes, it actually does satisfy them. I can't speak for anyone else though. As for me, I guess in the face of temptation, I can find ways to…
  • Oh wait...did you assume that since I said that I have felt unsatisfied with eating ice cream as a meal, that I don't ever eat ice cream and that I condemn sugar and "unhealthy" treats?
  • First question...Not that I know of. As for the second part....I don't know where you are going with that. I only responded to the OP with my personal experiences with eating ice cream for a meal. I still eat sugar and ice cream and all that other stuff. Honestly, I have no idea what you are talking about.
  • I've also felt unsatisfied after eating ice cream in place of a meal. And I've also felt like it wasn't worth it to have what I consider a "treat" food in place of what I normally eat for lunch or dinner. So yes, I totally get what you are saying.
  • This made me sad. OP, if you decide to look at the post anyway, I hope you find the motivation you need. You don't need to do very low carb, but you should definitely find a way to get more calories in. Eat more nut butters, full fat dairy, and other things that are higher in calories but easy to eat.
  • This is the third Shakeo post being brought back to life in the past 24 hours! What's going on??? lol Anyway, this is my experience. I used to be a BB coach just for the discount. I drank it everyday for about four months. I stopped when I found out I was preggo, because no coach or even the website would give me a clear…
