  • I find that I have to keep my hands busy. I bought one of those fancy adult coloring books and colored pencils. I also knit. I will do laundry. I will go out with friends. I find if I am doing something to occupy my time I am less likely to run for the fridge to find something to do.
  • It's truly a personal thing. What I do may not work for someone else strictly because of work/life/lack of kids etc. I work in an office, I have the opportunity to have a standing desk. I also am able to take a 1 hour lunch. Monday Through Friday 440 am - wake up 500 am - gym for 1 hour 640 am - arrive at work 700 am - eat…
  • I run outside, no matter the weather provided it's not iced over or a hurricane. I listen to Pandora for music - many stations to choose from. I also switch up my routes so I have different scenery to look at and not get bored. Personally - I can't stand the tread mill - to me that is a torture device
  • [/quote] OK that makes sense, sorry to question you. You are quite low in weight as it is, so you may find it tough. A lot of people will tell you it's just calories in calories out, but I personally have better success when I am keeping my carb intake lower than my protein intake. I am not talking about extreme like…
  • They do say not to belittle, they don't say you can't disagree, just do it with some class and not be rude. Check the rules. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/welcome/guidelines
  • Ok, so work on muscle building exercises. Full body and focus on parts on different days. You can do upper one day and lower another. Most people reccomend weight training at least 2-3x a week. That will help sculpt muscles and burn fat as well as doing consistent cardio. The combination of cardio and weight training will…
  • ^^^ Yeah, anything that low calorie you can't bring yourself back to real life and a real eating plan. And why must everyone consider eating a "diet" it's not, it's a lifestyle. Eat healthy, live healthy. My mom lost 90lbs just eating right, watching portions and working out 3-4x a week. Old fashioned way and she eats ice…
  • Thing is you can't "make up for it' like many say. The important thing is learn from this, move on and get back on track NOW and stick to the plan as much as possible. Of course I live by an 80/20 rule. 80% of the time I eat and workout according to plan and do not deviate. That 20% I splurge. I have that piece of cake I…
  • You have probably burned yourself out, do you take rest days? at least 1 a week? I have an extreme regimen due to my personality and goals but even I take a day or two to rest my body or just stretch. What is your goal with burning so much in 1 hour? What are your ultimate goals?
  • You are 5'4" and want to weigh 110? That seems a bit much. Even for my height at 2 inches shorter, my minimum weight according to charts, is 110 lbs. There's no way yours should be. Sounds to me you just want really be toned up and want to be healthy in general. There's no reason to try to fit your body in a mod it…
  • Unless you are under strict doctor supervision, which I'm not really sure you are, you should NEVER eat fewer than 1200 calories. Anyone that tells you otherwise is giving you a load of crap and bad advice and you can serioously mess up your metabolism for life. Just eat right and healthy and workout, the rest falls into…
  • Anyone can add me as long as they are wanting to lead a healthy life.
  • You are not crazy for taking a day off, it's ok to heal back up. Trust me, I'm the queen of pushing myself too far on things. I will keep going through pain and suffering even though my doctors even tell me to slow down. Take a rest, don't stress it, watch your food intake and you are going to be fine. once you are…
  • Lifting heavy is good, it won't make you a body builder unless you take the extra steps to do so. Women are not designed to bulk up like men are. So if you wanted to "bulk" you would have to eat accordingly too. Lift weights for the rest of your life and I'm sure you won't have to worry too much about it. Also, do focus on…
  • You rock!!!!! Awesome job and keep it up! :)
  • Really I wouldn't worry too much about being over in protein, unless you're eating a lot of red meat or fatty proteins. If you're not in the 200g mark I think you're fine. I have heard everything from women needing 70g to at least 1 g per pound of body weight. So all in all I think you're fine. The things MFP gives for a…
  • Choose to stop, find things to keep busy. If these snacks don't throw you over your calorie limit don't worry too much but it's going to take willpower and that's that.
  • agreed with stfuriada: Hungry-Girl.com LIvebetteramerica.com Also stick to the outside edges of your grocery store, as you will notice, veggies, fruits, nuts, lean proteins and low fat dairy tend to be on the outer edges, all the processed stuff is in the middle. Not saying you shouldn't go grab some canned tuna in water…
  • Ok, now that my laughter has subsided, go to a grocery store or a health food store for you food when visiting. Goodness our food is regulated by the FDA, perfect - no, good grief. Quite honestly avoid the fast food at all costs - it's not worth the sodium or fat content and even the healthy options are mediocre. Create…
  • I completed Insanity in October and continued to incorporate it. It's a workout you really need to do more stretching than what Shaun does before and after. In the last month I had a really hard time getting motivated to do the workouts. But stick with it and keep going. Just really really really watch your form. If that…
  • That is a reasonable goal, roughly 0.2 lbs a week. That's doable and an good way to ease into it instead of thinking "Oh i'm gonna lose 5 lbs a week." Get real, right? Definitely need to get that exercise in, cardio AND weights. Don't skimp on either. A lot of women tend to think if they lift they will bulk up. SOOOOOO not…
  • I'm sure you can achieve similar results if your missing just a few discs. If you are missing a lot of them then I would question it. But like what has already been said - if you push it hard for 5-6 days a week with a rest day and after month 1 bump up the intensity to the max for month 2 you should be ok. Also check on…
  • I'm on everyday, diary open, and I make a point of encouraging others because without support it's hard. Let's get this done!
  • YOU GO GIRL!!! Keep up the helathy habits. ROCK ON!!
  • I do my best to get up every hour and walk down the stairs to the 1st floor bathroom and then used to sit on a balance ball, I just can't do it now. It's all in what's comfortable for you. I will sometimes stand up at my desk or I'll bounce my leg, do some sitting stretches.
