My thoughts are that it is not magical and there is nothing more to it than skipping a meal. If it helps you control your calories in a given day then its ok but fasting itself is not some magic that will do anything beyond, skipping a meal. I use it as a tool to maintain a calorie deficit because I dont eat breakfast and…

I only use protein shakes if I have a busy day or cannot pack a proper meal/lunch or whatever. I do my best to get all my nutrition from actual food.

What I do is guarantee my protein needed, one gram per lb of lean body mass, and get around 20 to 30% in healthy fat then fill the rest with carbs. That seems to work well for me.

If you make healthy food a habit eventually you will crave it too :p Nothing like your mouth watering at the thought of tuna HA! But you can have a treat meal every now and then ;)

Don't forget its a lifestyle. Be patient and have faith in the process as long as you're doing the right things you should get the results. It just takes time :) BTW I personally dont eat exercise calories but if you do a weekly weigh in you can do some fuzzy math to determine how much you burnt over the week and can kind…

You have to schedule it in. We all have the same 24 hours in a day but you have to make it a priority. Surly you can pencil in an hour each day for yourself! It takes effort and planning but you should be able to do it!

I prefer a good digital scale that can weight food in different modes (grams, oz, lb etc.) Can pick one up about anywhere. I got my from bed bath and beyond.

Lifting weight can help maintain and minimize the loss of muscle during a cut. Maybe you need a few more dumbells to make a better set for you? With a good dumbell set, having enough weight, you can really do just about anything if its all you have. There are a lot of guides online for dumbell only workouts.

I think the approach of some people on these forums could be a bit more tactful to say the least! But to give you my opinion on this: If you're running low on money for food you might need to evaluate your purchases to ensure you're not wasting money on food items that don't give you very much for your dollar. You could…

Cottage cheese!

The usda database has an entry for cooked rice you can use that entry and weigh it. That is probably pretty close and saves a bit of work.

Most people get enough protein but you only need around .7 to 1 gram per pound of lean body mass.

Good job losing 15 lbs is an accomplishment you should be proud of

Being able to enter macros on quick add and see ur macro breakdown is a game changer for me
-
Unless you're on a weight lifting program to make gains macros arnt that important IMO.
-
I just limit refined sugar products like cookies. Get my carbs from fruit and veggies for the most part.
-
Calories matter for weight loss. If you arnt trying to gain muscle you dont need to worry about it most likely if you eat balanced. Healthy fats are great!

Are you positive your tracking is accurate?

I cannot ever accept the people who say they NEVER drink water and only diet pop. I drink diet pop but not in the amounts some people here do :D I just cannot wrap my head around all the crap in it and what stuff we don't know about right now. For me my MO is more chemicals might be bad so dont over do it.
-
Wow that is crazy!
-
Drink water not just diet pop.

The time of day you eat your calories is arbitrary and you could choose any time you want as long as you are in deficit. I usually just have black coffee in the morning and eat my first meal at noon. Then eat dinner and snack to fill my days calories and macros.

WW is just a glorified way to count calories!

Give it to a local church

Oh my! Sounds like my beer habit!

Use the extra energy to bust out a good weight training :D
