  • I've been wearing a HRM for over a year now and it usually runs around 550-1000 calories a class depending on your intensity. The highest I burned in a 60 minute class has been 1100 and it was an INTENSE class. So for a moderate low impact, 50 minute class, I'd say closer to 450- 550 and that is for someone roughly 5-1"…
  • Oh RaeBae honey! I'm sorry to hear that! People and family especially can be so cruel. My worst thing..... is being called "gorda" (fatty in spanish) all my life. Finally got tired of it at the age of 43 and here I am....down 33 pounds since last year and now they say I'm too skinny!! What the heck? I learned from all…
  • Yes, I do zumba almost every day ...... 4 to 6 times a week but I also in corporate boot camp and walking my dog. Zumba is addictive! If you love to dance, You'll love it! <3
  • I think they still have the option under cardio exercises to make your own. I have a heart rate monitor to track my calories burned and I have all the P90X exercises and my zumba listed in my own diary. You should be able to create your own.... :-) I hope that helps.
  • You look great! keep it up! woohoo!
  • Great job and keep up the good work! I have to say, you look YOUNGER now! woohoo! :-)
  • Yes, it does depend on the instructor and also the effort you put into it. The max I've done in 60 mins was slightly over 1000 cals but my average is between 450 (minimum effort) and 875 (high effort) in my normal 50 minute class. I use a HRM for all my exercises including P90x routines. Good luck!
  • I actually use my heart rate monitor for heavy yardwork such as shoveling, digging and what not. If you have one, you should try and use that, if not, use the shoveling snow option in the exercise drop down options. That is probably the closest you're going to get to what you're doing. Good luck! :-)
  • I'm a zumba addict and nobody is looking at anybody else's jiggles....... We are all there to shake it but don't be ashamed to show up to a class. It's great fun and you'll find the most motivational people there big and small. Good luck missy! :-)

  • Don't give up! I started out the same way and it took about 3.5 weeks to actually see something move on the scale. It took that long to see the scale move down 3 pounds. I work out 6 days a week and I also have cheat days as well but I get back on the horse the next day. Too many people get discouraged too soon. Don't give…
  • You can add zumba under your "my exercises" tab at the top when you go to your exercise diary. I've added it as I am a zumbaholic. I've also added my P90X workout too, Kenpo and whatever else is not on the list. I hope that helps! Good luck! :-)
