  • Awesome!!!! That is great! Neutral colors so funny :D
  • My parents and even grandparents did a sufficient job of scaring me about traditional pressure cookers that I was nervous at first too. I promise once you do a quick release just once you will jump but then you will be a professional. Watch this video it will prepare you and give you a good laugh.…
  • I bought one but have been out of town caring for a friend and it sits at home waiting for me to return. I wanted it to try making naruto style sushi. Sushi rolls with a cucumber wrapper. I will be watching this thread I hope you get some great ideas.
  • This is from an old thread but still my favorite meal prep resources.

  • This is a recipe for a sweet and tangy sauce of beans and veggies served over spaghetti squash. But would be great on it's own or over rice or even pasta. soupspiceeverythingnice.blogspot.com/2015/10/spaghetti-squash-with-sofrito-and-beans.html
  • I posted this a long time ago but the egg mugs work well for make ahead. You can use a mason jar or a twist top plastic storage container if you don't want to use glass. The best part is you can have variety. I also like oatmeal muffins. Great make ahead and you can put different add ins. You can use banana, applesauce or…
  • I recommend YouTube too. The Domestic Geek and many many others make sheet pan meals. You put everything on a baking sheet and pop into the oven, set a timer and done. My sister who struggles in the kitchen can use this method. She is great at roasting most veggies now. Start here the fajitas are great in a tortilla or…
  • I don't use either but two YouTube channels I follow for meal prep have these options available. Look for Fit Men Cook for an app. Fit Couple Cooks has a book. Mind over Munch and the Domestic Geek has eBooks on Etsy. I hope this helps.
  • I use the Domestic Geek's recipe. She uses applesauce. I have used applesauce or the same amount of mashed banana or can pumpkin puree all very tasty. I have added chopped apple or blueberries. You can do so many variations. Here are some links: https://youtube.com/watch?v=VkaVTQXLA90…
  • One trick I learned some where was to watch the shrimp as they cook if they curl into a "C" shape they are cooked. If they curl into a closed circle or "O" shape they are overcooked. I hope this helps.
  • I enjoy making soups too. Pho is so good! I like both recipes from the YouTuber Cuong Can Cook. The instant pot makes it so easy. There is a group started for pressure cooker recipes here: community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/115500-pressure-cooker-recipes-and-tips
  • There are several old meal prep threads you will want to check out. Tons of great ideas. Here is a link to one of them. community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10541677/meal-preppers-thread/p1 I really get inspired by the YouTube channels Domestic Geek, Fit Couple Cooks and FlavCity with Bobby Parrish. Worth a look.
  • I have stuffed jalapenos with Italian sausage and grilled. It is really good. soupspiceeverythingnice.blogspot.com/2014/07/grilled-italian-sausage-stuffed-peppers.html I have made my own sausage too. soupspiceeverythingnice.blogspot.com/2014/08/low-sodium-italian-sausage.html
  • I saw a chef on the chew make it with a 7 grain bread spread lightly with harissa, then avocado and garnished with drizzle of honey and red pepper flakes. I don't have harissa so I use just a little tiny spread of garlic chili paste. Really good!
  • Nope not yet. I had to rush away to help a sick friend. So still on the to do list. I will let you know when I do.

  • I use half/half and splenda too. Half/half is 40 cal for 2 Tbsp. I never need that much to make it creamy. I find I use less of the real stuff than fat free so the cal and carbs were less using the real deal. Sometimes I add cinnamon to the coffee grinds when I brew it. I also agree that cold brewed in the summer is great.…
  • Thanks for your thoughts and tips. I kind of think it will be something I try once but we will see. ;)

  • I love sheet pan meals. You can cover a sheet pan with foil and cook protein, carbs and veggies on one pan. You can also use foil to divide the pan into compartments. So your broccoli will not come in contact with his veggie of choice. Just pick veggies with similar cooking time. Or I even thought about buy 12" pizza pans…
  • I made turkey meatloaf in a muffin tin and mashed cauliflower tonight. I put two meatloaves and a serving of cauliflower in meal prep containers. I also made quinoa. I add stuff to the quinoa for bowls or salads for lunch. Quinoa + corn + black beans + cilantro + lime Juice + olive oil Quinoa + parsley + tomato + cucumber…
  • Oh yum!!! That looks so good! Thanks so much.
  • Another yummy sheet pan meal. foodnetwork.com/recipes/food-network-kitchen/sheet-pan-shrimp-scampi-3801928?soc=sharepin
  • Search for sheet pan suppers or sheet pan meals. I love the concept and it works. Cover a sheet pan with foil if you want easy clean up. You cook everything on one sheet pan in the oven. I have tried so many combinations. Chicken fajitas might be a good starting place. Here is the video that got me started.…
  • I buy no salt added canned vegetables, beans, tomatoes and stock. I use Mrs. Dash extra spicy in place of cajun seasoning. I like all the Mrs. Dash flavors except the Original and Table Blends. They made taco seasoning and ranch dressing too. I use lemon, lime juice and zest to brighten the flavor in recipes. Vinegar works…
  • I use to take individual portions of crackers, chips, nuts and cereal in snack bags. I would make several of each and keep them in large storage container. works with veggies too. They were easy to grab and go. I also took individual servings of yogurt, peanut butter, dip, salsa, guacamole, etc. Search for Clean Food Crush…
  • Found it! https://yummyhealthyeasy.com/easy-meal-prep-chicken
  • The Domestic Geek has tons of meal prep on her YouTube channel. She just did this video: https://youtube.com/watch?v=mWHIHCg587s I am going to try a few just as soon as I can get to the store. Also I have seen someone divide a sheet pan with foil and cook chicken 3 different ways so their meal prep had variety. I will try…
  • One of my favorites so far is Crispy Chicken for a Banh Mi Bowl. It was amazing! I had to substitute equal parts lemon zest and ginger for the lemongrass. This dish would be great for meal prep. The chicken would be great on salad, wraps, sandwiches, just anything. Will keep making this one over and over.…
