I'm going to do the wall push ups because of a back injury...they are not as easy as one would think ;-) Great way to strengthen the chest without applying pressure to the spine!!!! Glad for this challenge today!!!!

Woo Hoo!!! I stayed within my sodium limits AND I burned over 4000 calories this week while ON VACATION!!! Thank God for good friends that like to exercise!!!!! Looking forward to week 2.

Stay off of refined carbs and sugar. That is, anything purchased in packaging like cans, boxes, or bags. Eat natural carbs like fruits and veggies. It's the refined stuff that can really slow you down plus it's not good for you.

Get rid of carbs (rice, potatoes, bread, sugar, etc) and processed foods...you will eat more food but the weight will come off. I actually had the same problem with my elbow. It has taken awhile to recover from it. Now, instead of extending my elbow completely, I leave it slightly bent....don't lock it. I believe this is the proper way of using the weights (?). I would skip the exercises using the elbows and continue with the rest of the workout…

You gotta remember that "women sizes" aka "plus sizes" are cut much larger than normal sizing. Don't let it discourage you. It's another marketing strategy to sell clothing.

Don't replace problem foods with a diet version. I wrote a blog entry with tips. I've lost 73 pounds by cutting it out of my diet.

Lay off refined carbs which will make you crave more food. Eat lots of protein, fresh veggies, and fruit. Anything with refrined flour or sugar (bread, sodas, candy, quick food) are quick burning....they don't stick with you.

Today is a good day!!!! I'm finally off my month long plateau AND I hit my goal of 199!!!! Also, I took my measurements.
