I throw up every time I eat meat...just the smell of it cooking sets off the gagging.

Most doctors don't know about the specifics of PCOS and I live in a remote rural area so I can't just find a new doctor. Most women with PCOS will tell you...they have to educate their doctor about the disorder. Even my perinatologist (high risk pregnancy doctor) told me that after losing 140 pounds my PCOS "went away"…

PCOS and insulin resistant...all blood work shows no concerns for diabetes but my blood sugar has been dropping too low so I often feel dizzy which is why I'm supposed to drink a pop or sugary juice when I feel faint or dizzy. I'm also to drink a caffinated drink combined with Tylenol for my migraines I've been getting.

My fasting blood sugar was 59 at my last appointment.

My doctor has told me she wants me to gain a pound a week even if it means eating more high calorie/junk food but I'm having a really hard time finding the right balance of calories for me...most sources say to add 200 to 300 calories per day during the 2nd trimester but that's for normal women...I'm far from normal...my…

My stomach is 80% smaller than the typical adult. I physically cannot overeat. My sporadic logging was to show my husband that I was eating the way my doctor told me to. Overeating is not the issue. For the past 2 months I have lived on fruits and veggies...mostly watermelon, cantaloupe, pea pods, broccoli and asparagus.…

I do gain weight crazy fast though! I was out of refills on my medication and it took almost 3 weeks to get a new prescription and in that time I gained almost 12 pounds. My eating did not change at all during that time.

Yep I was in the 1300 calorie range while trying to get pregnant because my doctor thought I was eating too little to ovulate. I gained weight eating the 1300 calories (although it was a very slow gain) My doctor does know about my WLS and that I struggle to eat more than 1300 calories (when trying to get pregnant I was…

Not sure about the science but anecdotaly, I have seen this to be true. I know for a fact that I have to eat significantly less than other women of a similar height and weight in order to maintain my weight.

Hey! Welcome! I have PCOS as well. You will want to keep your carbs low. For me, the key to my weight loss was taking 2000 mg of metformin each day (1000 mg twice a day.) No matter what I did I couldn't lose any weight until I started the metformin but now I'm down almost 140 pounds! I also work out 6 days a week doing…

OMG!!! I hate Facebook because of the multilevel marketing schemes! Plexus, ACE and itworks are the three biggies and I just want to scream every time someone tries to get me to buy the crap!

I can sympathize! I had a terrible reaction to 2 different kinds of birth control and an antidepressant. It's a terrible feeling to feel like you have no control over your body. If you're not able to switch medications, you'll have to watch your calories very closely...get a food scale and weigh EVERYTHING!

Genetics plays a huge role in how your skin is going to respond. I've lost almost 140 pounds and I have significant loose skin on my stomach, thighs and butt. I'm going to get some of the skin surgically removed and I'm getting a breast lift because I went from a 42 G to a 32 DD...they are very sad sad looking boobies now.

I had negative comments when I was overweight and now I'm in the low healthy BMI and I get comments that I'm losing too much and told I need to stop.

I told her it was so I eat the right amount of food. I've lost about 140 in the past year in a half so she knows I control my food pretty tightly.
