Wausau here. :)

I'm on day 3 of level 1 and I'm sore as hell. But I'm pushing through it and taking less breaks than I was originally. Threads like this give me the motivation to push through it.

During the weekdays, when I work, I generally pre-log at the beginning of my day while I have breakfast at my desk. It helps me plan, and if I have a set plan when I go home, then I'm not likely to stray away from it. On the weekends, I tend to log as I go.

Every Wednesday, I go out with my husband and friends to a pub and have a "cheat meal" - something I normally would avoid. French fries, club sandwiches, or a wrap of some kind. I call it a cheat meal, but I log every single calorie I eat. Sometimes I go over, sometimes I don't. But I move on. I don't really consider it…

You sound so much like me, only I'm 29 with PCOS. I'm 260lbs and need to lose at least 100lbs of it. It's hard, and it sucks, but we can do it. Feel free to friend me if you want/need the support. I'm here every day, trying to get the motivation to keep going.

I used to drink 2-3 cans of Diet Coke a day. I absolutely love it. But I quit, and only have ONE once a week (on my cheat meal day) ... and I've definitely noticed a difference. It might be purely psychological, but I feel better when I'm not drinking it and I find I lose weight a bit easier without it. That being said, I…

Around 9lbs.

I think it's a bit of both. Personally, something had to click with me to GET motivated. But other people definitely help me STAY motivated. Other people can't change you, you can change you. But others can help.
-
I weigh myself every couple of days but I only 'weigh-in' here on MFP on Sunday mornings right when I wake up.
-
Love them both! Feel free to add me :)

And "I told you so" to the ones who didn't. So supportive!

I can't believe the attitude of some of the people here. Yes, let's mock those who tried and have failed. Those who are sitting at home, feeling horrible about themselves because they didn't make it as long as they wanted to. Those who when they did go, felt out of place but at least they were trying. And this is a site…

It's been between -35 and -40 here with the windchill (I'm also in Wisconsin) but no, it doesn't stop me. I work out inside, not sure why it would matter. I just shower when I get home.
-
Not really a mantra, but when I want to quit, I think of all the things I hate about being the weight that I am. And how good it will feel when I'm making progress.
-
I'm also in Wisconsin! I have over 100lbs to lose, so I'll be here awhile. Feel free to add me :D

Thanks very much for this. For my exercise calories, should I be eating those back or not? Or is that up to personal preference?
-
Ranch dressing, unfortunately.

Ugh, I so know how this feels. I freaking LOVE fast food. And no amount of anyone telling me how gross/bad it is will stop it. Burger King and McDonalds and I were very, very close. And so easy when I don't feel like making dinner! I have no solutions to this yet, but you're definitely not alone.

Besides 'everything'? I hate shopping. I hate finding clothes that I love that I can't get because it doesn't come in my size. I hate walking by a mirror/window and catching my reflection and seeing how bad it's gotten. I hate pictures being taken of me, which means many memories go undocumented. I hate looking at myself…

I highly suggest looking up the PCOS group here on MFP. It's a great resource. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/3070-p-c-o-sis

I believe I went about six months without one before I went to the doctor and got diagnosed with PCOS. I was put on Metformin right away and I've had a regular period every month since.

A blood test and pelvic ultrasound.

Central Wisconsin here! :) Add me, fellow Wisconsinites.

I used to drink at least two or three cans of Diet Coke a day. Some days, I'd go without drinking water at all and Diet Coke would be the only thing I drank. I now have a can once a week, because I love it too much to give it up entirely. Eventually I will. I find the less I drink of it, the less I really enjoy it. Water…

I don't eat chips, cookies, or ice cream. Chips were the hardest to give up. But I'd sit down with a bag of them and eat the whole thing .. so they're one of my weakness foods and that's the only reason I cut them out completely. No more fast food, because it's another weakness. I friggin' love McDonalds. Everything else,…

5'8 and 269 here ... please add, anyone! :)

I have a bottle of water that holds about 2.5 cups. I fill that up 3 times during my work day, once at the gym, and then have a few more glasses between dinner and bedtime. I have no idea how much that is, lol.

Well, like I said, I'm new. I didn't know that MFP calculated my TDEE. Before I signed up here, I had no idea what TDEE even was. So excuse my ignorance. That would be why I ask questions, to learn if I'm doing something incorrectly or inefficiently. Thank you to those who replied without the attitude. :) I appreciate the…
