  • Great idea :) I'm giving outdoor running a second chance through C25K and it's slow going but I can do it! Best of luck to everyone!
  • 165 this week. Definitely not headed in the right direction! Up 2lbs :( Had family visiting from out of town so I had four days of restaurant food lunch and dinner and no time to hit the gym. Hopefully I can get back on track :) Congrats to everyone, you're doing great!
  • Partners! :) I will contact you via PM tomorrow :) Feel free to contact me any time!
  • Just completed L1D10! Tomorrow I start L2! :) Best of luck to all you shredders!
  • I log it as circuit training and give myself 195 calories for it. I figured that was high enough to be close to accurate and low enough that I'm not overestimating.
  • Happy August 1 everyone! I am pleased to see the scale at its lowest in my entire teenage/adult life :) 162-163lbs I'm ready to work my *kitten* off to see that number get lower! Great job to everyone else as well :) We're all in this together!
  • I haven't taken a rest day yet. I'm aiming to do the full 30 days without rest. I figured it's only 20 minutes a day so I might as well. :) Listen to your body though. If you feel like you need a rest day take a rest day.
  • I'm 162 looking to get down to 145 :) My mini goal is 155 by September 1. Feel free to add me!

  • @1RareJewel I definitely see a difference in your before and after pictures. i would probably attribute the gained weight to muscle because you look tighter and more toned :)
  • I'm 5'10 with hips and thighs that are determined to stick around. Currently able to fit into a 12 but still wearing my 15s :)
  • Spicy Garlic Shrimp 2 tsp light spreadables butter 1 clove garlic diced 1.5 tsp chili powder 1.5 tsp crushed chilies 8 shrimp (I used ready to eat) Melt the butter in a frying pan: add diced garlic, chili powder and chilies. • Day three I was excruciatingly stiff. It's gotten better since then. I've noticed after each session my calves are tighter than..something really tight..(Yes, I am indeed an English Lit major) so I add calf stretches into the cooldown. I haven't taken any measurements, but I plan to take a before, during, and after photo :)
  • Hey guys :) I've tried to add as many of you to the group as possible! Send me a message if I've missed you - the group's name is the same as the topic (Back to School 10lb Challenge) so feel free to join!
  • Weather permitting of course :) Vancouver has been known to turn on its residents without notice so fingers crossed for a good week here!
  • Congratulations on your weight loss so far :) You will definitely reach your goal! It's slow going in the beginning but it gets easier as time goes on. :)

  • L1D4 today and feeling battered! Love this program to death though. I'm not someone who incorporates strength training into work outs so this DVD is a godsend :) Planning to take pictures of my progress (Day 1, Day 15 and Day 30) and post them to my profile. Can't wait to move up to level 2!

  • I agree with those saying turn exercise into therapy. I did that after I broke up with my boyfriend of three years (not the same, I know) and even though I'd still feel crushed having an hour to just channel all the emotions into a physical activity really helped. Maybe join a fitness class where you don't have to be alone…
  • I feel like a nice alternative to money would be putting folded up slips of paper with fun activities written on them in a jar. Things like: dinner out, new book, new outfit, trip to an art gallery etc (can also include things that don't cost dinero0 Once you reach..say 30 days of exercise you pick a slip and reward…
  • I get that from time to time. I chalk it up to either an ingrown hair or some sort of infection. I give it a week before I plan to go to the doctor. So far it's never been doctor worthy for me, but I'd say if it persists get thee to a doctor.

  • You look fantastic :) Congratulations!
  • @OhLibra Yes :) You look like a happy person!
  • Stand up and stand out :) A little reminder for myself :)
  • I turned to fitness as a way to manage my emotions after a particularly nasty break-up. I began to associate fitness with happiness (no matter how temporary). As I got better emotionally I tried to find other ways to keep motivated. My newest motivation is reading. I don't do enough of it at home surrounded by all my…
  • Hey :) I'm Melissa. I'm 22 and have recently gotten serious about getting healthy. I'm 5'10 and my starting weight was 225lbs. I'm currently 167lbs and aiming for 135-145lbs. I try to get to the gym 4-6 times a week and aim to burn 600-800 calories each time. I'm usually online for a few minutes every day to offer…
  • Check out my diary for Monday (or even yesterday) I almost didn't update it I felt so awful and embarrassed. But these things happen and being accountable for them helps in that you accept them and you can change them :) One or two (or three or four) bad days are small potatoes in the grand scheme of things. Find something…
