Thanks to everyone for your input! I definitely will insist upon test rides and see what feels best. :flowerforyou:

As you can see by my profile picture, I have a Great Dane. She is resting, as usual!

I weigh myself every morning, but I only log it once a week.

I get together with friends on Saturday nights and I eat whatever I want without going too crazy. I do extra exercise on Saturday mornings to help compensate in advance, but looking forward to my Saturday nights helps me get through the rest of the week.

Hi Ladies! I am very happy it is Friday. My decision to take my first "land" zumba class was thwarted by the continued ache in my quads from the Wednesday training/torture session. I did go to aqua zumba and then spent some time in the hot tub at the Y last night. Heading back to the Y tomorrow. Meg - I understand about…

Happy Thursday Ladies! To the other Liz who is joining the Y. I did that too and it was the best decision I ever made. In my Y, they have a 7 week Lose to Win program which helped to jump start my recent journey. You have a group of six that meets twice a week with a trainer so you get to learn how to use the machines as…

Hello everyone! I joined the group a few weeks ago, but this is my first post since then. For the past couple of weeks I have found myself to be unmotivated or perhaps undermotivated, but my mojo is back. I thankfully did not sabotage my diet during this period, but it was a near thing. I did, however, skip some workouts.…

Welcome to MFP! This is a great site with many supportive people. The community section is good too for asking questions and getting different perspectives about what works for people on this journey and what doesn't work. The success stories section is very inspirational and the recipes section has given me some ideas. I…

Way to go!!!!

I had over 100 lbs to lose, but I am down 36 lbs since September. I log everyday and send encouragement. Anyone who wants to can add me.

After a good breakfast of raisin bran and skim milk it was all downhill - started with cheese and crackers, crackers and lobster dip, rolls with butter and then every dessert available including a couple of dozen (at least) chocolate chip cookies which are my personal weakness. And that was after dinner!

Hi! My name is Liz and I am 54 years old. I was born and raised in Connecticut and I still live here. My weight loss journey started at age 13 at Weight Watchers. I am very good at losing weight, but I am lousy at keeping it off. I made a decision last year to get healthy, lose weight and keep it off. I lost 40lbs and then…

Both Kashi and Nature's Promise (Stop & Shop organic brand) make frozen pizzas which I can eat in their entirety if I so choose. I just make sure I have the macros available on the days I NEED pizza.

Well it is December 16th and I mostly shopped via the internet. So my dining room is full of boxes mostly still unopened, let alone wrapped. The one thing I did do today was to bake a couple of diet meals which will last me most of the week. I work from home and so does everyone else at the small company that I work for so…

You can clearly see the results of your hard work! Keep it up. You are doing great!!

Congratulations! You must feel wonderful.

I made this lasagna and really liked it.

I belong to the local YMCA and they have programs where you can meet with a PT twice a week as part of a group. That makes it much more affordable. It is turning out to be some of the best money I have ever spent. Plus my PT lost 120 lbs before going to school to be a PT so he has been there.

Hi! I just found this group and would like to take part. I am 54 years old and have only gotten serious about diet and exercise for the past 14 weeks. (Not that I haven't dieted at least a million times before). I am hoping that the combination of logging my food and the support of the wonderful people I have come in…

If you look at the Groups tab and browse Groups you will see already established groups for people who want to get out of the 200's or people who need to lose more than 100 lbs. I have only been logging seriously since the second week of September and I have found many who need to lose a lot of weight as I do. I have…
