It's so nice to hear someone say it's PARTLY heredity. I'm so tired of hearing folks say, "it's not my fault, it's my genes." Yes, genetics play a good part of obesity, but so does eating 10,000 calories a day. Congratulations! Keep it up.

Perfect!!! Congratulations! Healthy BP and lab values are more important than a low dress size or whatever. You can be skinny, but still not healthy.

I've got to say, that OP sounds like a pretty scummy woman. He might be better off without her, if she's ready to dump him just because a few shallow men decided she's finally worth noticing. I hope karma bites her in the butt.

Nay. I'm all for the back going lower than the front, but that dress doesn't do it well. Plus, I don't know if those are the shoes you're planning on wearing with it, but they're too chunky for it.

I use makeup remover wipes to get it off if I have to workout right after work.

Nay! It runs and you look way worse than you would if you'd just gone natural. Not much uglier than a woman with melty makeup.

Maybe they want a reminder for when their boobs disappear forever when they finally get thin.

Go with the pants. You seem to like it best, so you'll be comfortable in it and less self-conscious all night.

That's pretty much the diet I follow: low calorie during the week, whatever I feel like on Saturdays. It's how I lose and maintain.
-
I like it plain, but all of those ideas sound delicious. I'll have to try it out.

I rented it from the library. I haven't thoroughly looked throught it yet, due to a busy week at school, but I skimmed it, and a lot of the recipes look amazing. I would suggest renting it before buying it.

Based on the fact that you said "the Americans call it...", I think we're giong to need more info on where you're at, and what the options are, before giving advice. What we have in Utah you may not have there.

The nurse told me that it can take up to nine months for your body to completely get back to normal.

Maybe you could ask them for recipes, then use http://caloriecount.about.com/cc/recipe_analysis.php to calculate it yourself. Or if they're unwilling because they want to protect the recipes, give them that website and ask them to calculate it themselves. I'm sure a lot more of their customers than just you will want the…

Yum, thanks!

I'm taking a yoga class at my college two days a week, plus a pilates class another two days a week. I'm also curious to see how it all turns out.

Sweet, thanks! I love Indian.

BTW, wow, 52 lbs lost! Way to go!

I can't believe they have the nerve to claim their food as good for a diet. I almost laughed the first time I saw that commercial. Their food is disgusting anyway.

Welcome! This website is a godsend, trust me. The one tip I can think of right now is to plan out ahead of time when you're going out to eat. Decide ahead of time what restaurant you're going to, get on their website and find out the calorie content. I've been completely shocked to learn that some of my favorite things are…

I like those. I think I'll write them on my mirror and work at those too.

That is so awesome! Wow, 60 lbs. You are such an inspiration. Congrats, and have a blast on your trip. Enjoy the warm weather.

Let that be a warning too all of us dieting on here. It's easy to eat too few calories, and the longer you do it, the easier it gets. I think I'll go down and eat a cupcake. ;-)

Heart damage from the anorexia or drugs? What do you think?

Love that show. Unfortunately, we don't have Showtime, or HBO, or whatever channel it's on. We just wait until the season comes out on DVD and buy it. Now I really want to go read the spoiler, to see how it ended.

When I first started here, I was always starving at 1200 calories. But I stuck with it and now my body has gotten used to less food. It just takes a little while and A LOT of motivation. And when you do fall off, shake it off and start again the next day. Good luck with your diet.

That show is hilarious. The translated commentary makes it all the better.

I completely understand. When I first started dieting, I did the same thing. I would end up with 300+ calories left at the end of the day, and I just didn't want to eat. It ended up with me plateauing with my weight loss. I had to "overeat" for about a week, and put back on about four pounds, before I started to lose…

Nice. I'll check them out. Thanks for the info. I'm always looking for something around that time, too.
