  • I would say you are not eating enough. You should try following a cycle of burn days and then refeeds. I just read a great article about that. Also, what kinds of foods are you eating? Not all calories are created equal. How much veggies are you eating a day and how much water are you drinking? What about your fiber intake?
  • Yes, squats, lunges, deadlifts....use weight to tear down the tissue and rebuild it!
  • I would say do 20 minute high intensity interval cardio after you have done weights. You should do 3 sets of 10-12 reps to failure...so pretty heavy. This will help break down your tissue to rebuild it. When you have more lean muscle mass you will look much leaner and you will burn more calories at rest.

  • Yes, it works....thinking of putting high octane fuel in your body...that what it is following the eat-clean diet. Plus it helps prevent disease and other issues. I have her other books, but not the new one.
  • Me too! I just had tests done again to reevaluate. I can barely do laundry and then need a nap! We are also doing Adrenal Stress Index. I just want to feel "normal" again...whatever that is... :smile:

  • I have twins that are 4 and a 2 year old. When I started my journey I had a treadmill at home. So, I would do interval training on the treadmill for 20-30 minutes while the kids napped. Now I put in an exercise DVD and they love working out too. It is teaching them the importance about being active too. Or go to the park.…

  • I was planning on competiting in July, but last month I injured myself and have a herniated disk. So, right now I am planning on competiting in September this year and then April next year. I figure it gives me more time to lean out!

  • I would say to try to eat more quality calories. Skip the fast foods, and convience items. Have a complex carbohydrate and protien at each meal. Try to eat 5-6 small meals.   • Thanks! It has taken alot of work to get to where I am. I have lost 45 pounds since Sept. 08. I had twins and a single birth within 2 years...so my poor body! I am taking a break from having more kids right now and want to pursue my dream of being a Figure Competitor!
