  • HAHA @canadianlbs !! I cant seem to get myself to take a pic of the bum for comparison.
  • Amazing!! Your dedication in inspiring!
  • I jumped to week 5-8 because I felt like weeks 1-4 were too easy. So far I am really liking it. Not sure if I have noticed any major changes to my bum, but I am trying to continue all 12 weeks before switching it up.

BW Glute Bridge - 3x20 DB Row - 15# - 3x12 DB Front Raises - 10# 3x12 BW Squat - 3x20 Bench Press - 30# - 3x12 RDL - 45# 3x15 I am adding a bit more upper body to the beginner routine in SC. Looking…
  • Havn't been around our group in a while, but I am back in the gym regularly now so I have some funnies to share. This week is the mid 40's Asian woman with BRIGHT RED HAIR...she wears it in a high pony that looks way too good at 5am and her outfits all match perfectly. She uses the stair machine and when she walks up there…
  • Thanks for the follow up. I added more upper body today onto Workout A, we shall see how I feel tomorrow :-)
  • I have started last week and will be doing Week 1 - Workout C tomorrow. I find I am only doing the program for about 25-30 minutes (without warm up or cool down), is this normal?
  • Love this info! Just requested the book from the library. Looking to try something new after injury with DL's/5x5.
  • Wanted to follow up with everyone here and Thank You ALL for your words and advise! So I just completed round 3 and I am now down a total of 10.5lbs. I am calling this success! After a while I got used to knowing that a purple container of strawberries was about 150g so I used containers and logged. If I used only 1 yellow…
  • I will chime in a bit here too... I was told by a coach that I must be eating TOO much and that's why I wasn't loosing so to cut out my yellows! So out of pure curiosity I started weighing my containers and tracking again on MFP. I also found I rarely made it over 1000 cal a day and was a bit frustrated with the program. I…
  • Just checking in to to say HI and I was able to use a barbell for the first time in about 6 months today!! I just used the bar, did 2 sets of 10 squats, 1 set of 5 OHP and 1 set of 10 deads. I left the gym high on life. Will see how my back feels tomorrow. For now, lots of stretching in between work stuff.
  • Thanks for all the feedback ladies! So far I have been sticking to just using a shaker cup to get the protein in as needed. will have to checkout some of these other brands you have all mentioned.
  • Following... This may be helpful when I try using a barbell again :-) Hoping for that to be sooner than later!
  • Thank you SO much for your feedback! Like I said, I have been tracking on MFP so that I can show them over the course of a week what my intake is by weighing food and not just trusting the containers.
  • @canadianlbs - Well, I guess its a little of both. I have mostly recovered but I struggle with my low back daily. I am beyond fearful of really hurting myself again so I am taking it slow and really trying to strengthen my back so I can prevent further injury. Here I am part of a "heavy lifting" group and this morning I…
  • Just wanted to check in and say HI! Remember that awesome back injury from February?!? Well...I am still nursing it. I cant put a barbell on my back at the moment so I am doing other stuff to keep me moving. These last few weeks have been at home DVD's with light dumbells, Barre classes, LONG walks and Spin classes. Still…
  • Just checking in to say hi to all you ladies...I am still around, just not doing 5x5 :-( I know what you mean @DawnEmbers - I have been out of lifting with a barbell for almost 3 months now and I HATE it!! I pick up light things when I can, but its just not the same. I have been doing lots of walking (BORING) but it does…
  • Just checking in to say HI! I am still healing the back. Bulging disks are NO JOKE!! I walked a ton in NOLA last week and it really helped so I have been keeping that up and doing at least 30 min of cardio a day. Happy to see all you ladies are doing great!
  • I haven't been around lately...but I couldn't agree more!
  • Started: I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes with my first daughter. When she was 18mths old I started MFP and working out, classes, cardio, 5k's, etc and I started to really enjoy it. 18mths later I was 2lbs away from goal weight, got pregnant with baby #2 and started all over again. And to add - I really wanted to…
  • I am still lurking around here myself...although still not lifting :-( Cant wait to get back into a program and share with all you wonderful ladies again!
  • Thank You @missholidaygolightly, @llamapants86 and @sumiblue. Now to get back to lifting and getting strong again!
  • I am officially back to pre-baby weight (baby is 19mths old, HA!). I started back on MFP 2 days after she was born. I have tracked for months at a time and then dropped off for a bit, then got back to it. I started with walking, then jogging again, then when she was 1yr I signed up for the gym and began lifting. I have…
  • Thank You @krokador! I went back today and did another 20 minutes cardio and then lots of stretches/back strengthening per the chiropractor. I saw him again yesterday and the bulging disk is now hitting my sciatic nerve. GRRRR. Excuse my whining...I just want to be better! Its been about 7 weeks since this all started and…
  • I met with a personal trainer today for my free session after 6 months at the gym. We didn't lift any weights because of my back :-( and sadly I have been at work for about an hour now and I can already tell my back is going to be miserable. 4x side plank 4x standard plank lots of lunges lots of stretches a side twisty…
  • Husband and I had a wonderful date night Saturday! I ate fried cheese and lots of wine. I almost indulged in dessert, but knew I could find something at home instead so I settled on a mint Frango still lingering from Christmas and it did the trick.
  • Nevermind...im slow this morning. I think I already read you are in OR. So...Hi neighbor!
  • @DawnEmbers - Are you in Washington? I am about 30 min north of Seattle. I went to the tulip festival last year with my mom and 2 kiddos and was thinking of going again this year.
  • Thanks...will have to check this out!
  • All these workouts are AWESOME! I didn't do anything productive this weekend. Sick kiddo :-( I will be back at the gym tomorrow to continue cardio while the back heals.
