I re-read Last Orders, by Graham Swift. Last time was in high school, bit of a different perspective this time around.

They do not mean just having kids, they mean raising them to be successful, being a good parent, etc. If you have kids, you get it, and if you do not, think about all your parents did for you, every little thing that helped you in some way.

How many miles were you running per week before you started? Are you running at an easy pace? You mention you are setting a new PB often, are you running at an easy pace?

I run four or five races a year, and only train on a treadmill. I have been racing for 6 years now, and I always follow a training plan I build on runnersworld.com. I run 20 -25 miles a week, four days a week. I run two easy runs (3 m each), a speed or tempo workout (6 mi), and a long run (11 mi) on Saturdays.

This is better than your other post about opposite reactions to people asking how they can lose 20 lbs in a month. Both quality posts - keep up the good work.

Runners World has a plan for beginners and advises you should have at least a year of experience and regularly log an average of 15 - 25 miles per week before attempting their 10 week 1/2 marathon plan for beginners, for what that is worth. How long have you been running, and what is your weekly mileage? Those two are the…

Wet a cotton t-shirt and try to run in it. It sticks to your skin and is not a pleasant experience.

Create a training plan on the Runners World site. I believe easy or long runs are suposed to be run at 90 - 120 seconds slower than race pace, speed workouts are 30 seconds faster than race pace, and tempo workouts 30 seconds slower than race pace. If you have never run a race, warm up, and then run a mile at a pretty hard…
