I often find that its hard for me to do both things well at the same time. If I eat really well, I don't exercise. And when I exercise I don't eat very well. I have been struggling a lot lately myself for a variety of reasons. Something kicked in this week and I decided it was time for no more excuses. This group was a…

1. Current weight (optional) - Definitely not sharing that !!! 2. weight lost since last week - 1.5 pounds 3. Other accomplishment or NSV (non scale victory) for the week - Longer run intervals, big gains with strength at PT 4. Goals for next week - another pound or two and 5 days of some sort of exercise, be honest with…

Hi all. I am starting JM today as I have been out of town. My name is Bobbie. I'm a Mom, wife, and teacher not to mention the other hats I wear. I am currently in the process of rehabbing my right hip after surgery on July 1. I had my left hip done in December 2012. I am now at a point that I can do more impact stuff. JM…

I'll join in. I am out of town this weekend (settling my Mom's estate) but will return on Monday, Sept. 2. I need this group to keep me accountable and motivated. Always looking for friends for encouragement. Will be happy to do the same for you.

I'm in. Just posted my intro. Will accept friend requests. Want and need support and would like to support you.

Hi all. I'm Bobbie. A little about myself - I am 45 years old, a wife (25 years), mom, and 5th grade teacher. My daughters, ages 17 and 21, are the most amazing girls ever. I have the most incredible and supportive husband any person could ever ask for. I have been through a lot in the past year. I have been on MFP for…

I have been on a plateau for about 6 months. Agreed, very frustrating. Would love to support you in exchange for your support. Feel free to friend me.

I am 45 today and have about 30 more to lose. The fact that we are all working towards the same goals makes us all friends no matter our background. Anyone, feel free to friend me. Good luck on your journey.

I too have Hashimoto's. Once I started on levo, my weight gain stopped. It is very difficult to lose weight. The recipe for success for me is lots of cardio, 2 - 3 days of heavy lifting, and eating low carb. Everyone is different though. Trial and error is the best way to figure out what's right for you. I wish you luck.…

You all are inspiring me. I am 5'6" and 15 pounds down. I have another 35 to go. I have sputtering for months now due in part to major hip surgery. However, I am back to my active self and hope to see the scale moving again. Good for all of you for making it happen for yourself and not giving up on your goals.

ME - I need more friends for the encouragement and I want to do the same for any and all of you.

Anyone reading this thread, feel free to add me. I will be 45 in June AND celebrating my 25th wedding anniversary in June. I hope to be down 20 pounds by the time we leave on our cruise in mid-June. All friends welcome.

Nothing short of amazing. Great work.

Oh and one more thing - if you are going to be spinning often, I would strongly suggest a pair of spin shoes. It makes a huge difference.
-
One of the spin instructors at the gym incorporates them into the class. We usually do three sets during the hour. I love it. Other than that, I got nothin' new for you.
-
First of all, I love, love, love spin. Its a great workout for me (hip issues) and you get about a 200 calorie afterburn. The butt soreness will go away the more you spin. I was away from spin for 12 weeks due to a hip labral repair; went back to spin and no soreness. I get great results when I spin 3 days a week and…

No after taste at all.

I'm so disappointed that I did not know this. I love PB & J and would have had one today in honor of this glorious day. In order to make it healthier I have been toasting an Arnold multi-grain bread thin and spreading each with a tablespoon of natural peanut butter and Wegman's sugar free jelly. That is my breakfast treat…

^^ Thanks for this info. It appears this site has decent stuff for great prices. I will be looking into buying a few things from there.
-
I love peanut butter and jelly. I have compromised and use a 100 calorie toasted Arnold Bread thin, 2 tablespoons of Smucker's natural peanut butter, and two tablespoons of sugar free jelly. This is breakfast for me. 320 calories and it sticks with me for a long time - fiber, fat, protein, good carbs. Peanut butter is a…
