Right on! I'm a fan of caramelized onions, curry powder, and raisins Also, olive oil, cheddar, and sea salt/black pepper Here are some good savory recipes: http://www.thekitchn.com/rethinking-oatmeal-7-savory-morning-recipes-177491 Here's a yummy oatmeal casserole recipe with soy chorizo that I've made and thought was…

It definitely doesn't taste like pasta, but sometimes I prefer it to pasta. I'm obsessed with this recipe-- http://www.skinnytaste.com/2013/01/baked-spaghetti-squash-and-cheese.html Something about the cheese and the nutty flavor of the squash works for me. I really enjoy zucchini noodles. I make them in my spiralizer and…

I had leftovers from last night. Maple Dijon Chicken (amazing!)-- http://rachelschultz.com/2012/07/11/worlds-best-chicken/ Baked Spaghetti Squash and Cheese (also amazing!)-- http://www.skinnytaste.com/2013/01/baked-spaghetti-squash-and-cheese.html and broccoli that I drizzled some leftover maple Dijon sauce on. It was…

Some of my cheap staples: Mrs. T's perogies (very comforting and versatile, but low in calories) I sometimes eat them with marinara, but sometimes I'll add cheese and salsa for a mexican twist) Also very good with sour cream and caramelized onions that I make in the crockpot. (recipe below) Crockpot Caramelized Onions -…

Great job! I plan on starting the shred back up when I get back from vacation! You're very inspirational!

I agree with Chipotle, but it can get out of control calorie-wise pretty fast if you don't pre-plan the meal. Any Mexican restaurant is going to have fajitas. That's a good option without the tortillas and sour cream/cheese etc. Dallas and Ft. Worth have a delicious vegan restaurant called Spiral Diner and you'd be…

I suffer from the same problem. I love Mrs. T's Perogies because they're versatile and easy to grab from the freezer and cook one serving. I mix it up with them. Tonight I had them with pesto and mozzarella cheese w/ veggies on the side, sometimes I do a mexican theme and top them with bacon bits, light mexican cheese, and…

I'm 6'1 and from the DFW metroplex! I'm pretty close to my goal, but it took me over 60 pounds to get there. I log in daily and will continue to once I start maintenance. I have an open diary to friends so you can add me if you like! Us tall Texas gals need to stick together!

I try to eat things that take me awhile to eat and are low in calories. Like beef jerky. You've really got to tear a piece apart, haha. Another good one that I love are pomegranate seeds. One pomegranate pops out a lot and they're good to just nom on when you're bored. I also eat string cheese because I actually string it,…

What city do you live in? I don't think I could live without my TX barbeque and Texmex. Albeit, after visiting my sister in Seattle I do admit our seafood leaves something to be desired. I used to live in Buffalo, NY and I miss beef on weck. Thinly sliced (right in front of you) roast beef with aus jus on a kemmelweck roll…

I'm 6'1 and over 60 pounds down. Almost to my goal. I will always log, so feel free to add me! That goes for anyone needing support!

That's too cute! Congrats!

So inspiring! Way to go!

My ex works for Frito-Lay and when we lived together he would bring home all kinds of goodies. One time he brought an entire case of those cans of spicy nacho cheese that you buy at the gas station next to the bean dip. I could seriously eat a jar of that with potato chips in one sitting. I know it probably barely has any…

A fellow Buffalonian! I grew up there, but live in Dallas now. In answer to your question, I eat at Chipotle (Burrito bowl: Half rice, half black beans, tons of fajita veggies, hot salsa, corn, and guac) If you care at all about your sodium levels (I don't) then I would steer clear of Chipotle all together. Probably all…

Interesting. Bump!

I've been big into zucchini "pasta" lately. I bought a spiralizer for pretty cheap on amazon and turn zucchini into pasta strands that are surprisingly similar in texture.

I make this one ALL the time! It's amazing!

What an inspiration! Way to go!

Thank you for introducing me to this amazing food combo! I've already got it in my mind to try PB Poptarts with salted caramel ice cream.

I've been big into Trader Joe's lately... This morning I had a cup of vanilla greek yogurt with a tbls of chia seeds mixed in with a half cup of raspberries. Lunch was Trader Joe's reduced guilt Mac and Cheese with a side salad of baby spinach mixed with a couple tbls of green olive tapenade. For dinner I had breakfast,…

I just bought my first bag from Trader Joe's and had some in my yogurt this morning. I'm also making an overnight pudding to have for breakfast tomorrow. It's a cup of almond milk, 2 tbls of chia seeds, 2 tbls of Better'n Peanut Butter, a little vanilla extract, and stevia to taste. I'm going to have it on top of a banana…

I agree. I'm pretty sure it's just a regular piece of Hershey's dyed darker to market it as a "healthy" option. It's okay to have a piece every once in awhile, but I wouldn't rely on it for your sweet tooth.
