I'm seriously trying to cut back on my sugar intake, and I'm alarmed at how much sugar is hiding in foods that I don't consider "sweets." I don't drink soft drinks, don't sweeten my coffee, and still I'm over my goal every day! Anyway, just venting. Thanks for listening (reading).

hello? anybody? where'd you go?

After working in higher ed for years and years, and eating in the dining hall, I have some bits of advice: 1. Don't get bored. Eating in the same place everyday, with the same people, with food that all looks the same after awhile, can all lead to overeating, esp. when it's "all you can eat." Try to sit at a new table…

I'm here ... been really busy ... doing everything but working out. Got to get back on track. Rainy days make me so unmotivated!
-
and if all else fails, just sit on the skinny b**ches

Yum for my bum -- haaaa!

My, we are all quiet this week. Me included -- I've been hanging out on a different thread for a few days. How is everyone doing? I haven't lost an ounce! I'm in a bad asthma cycle right now, so I can't do much cardio.

that milk that's left in the bottom of the bowl has little bits of soggy cereal in it. yuck! Sometimes I sprinkle my cereal on top of yogurt ... kinda like a parfait ... something a little different
-
seriously? greens with salt?
-
I dunno ... Nutrition Advisor says apples have more fiber than bananas ... but they are both good for what ails you ...
-
Fiber One has lots of great products ... cereal, muffin mixes, pancake mix, yogurt, even pop tarts! Everything I have tried is really good. I usually eat half a fiber bar because they are so rich -- and I have a huge sweet tooth! Has anyone tried those dried prunes they advertise that are individually wrapped?

Ahhhh ... thanks ... you know it is amazing what all this site will do. I could explore it for days and still find stuff ...
-
I feel stupid , but I don't know what you all are talking about with this 5 week gizmo. Where is that? I haven't found that yet ... I have another question. I just realized that I never "complete today's entry." Does that make a difference?

Shelli -- I don't think my toe is actually broken. I've broken a toe before and all the doctor did was tape it to the toe next to it. It's very colorful, but the swelling has gone down and I can put weight on it. Thanks for the good wishes.

Nice new pix, accountant_boi! Can see the weight loss in ur face!

Welcome! My beloved (late) mother-in-law suffered from fibromyalgia, so you have my sympathy and admiration! Bless her heart, she was not willing to change her lifestyle much, and she just continued to suffer. Fibromyalgia was not her cause of death, but it definitely reduced her quality of life. Congratulations on taking…

Congratulations! I've got a ways to go, but here I come!

Six pounds in two weeks is great ... but you can do that on a 1200 calorie diet without the pills. If they are making you feel tired, that seems counterproductive. Good luck on whatever you decide. I agree this site is the best motivation I have found. Spend some time on the message boards. It really helps!

Applebee's has some good tastey choices on their weight watchers menu ... I gravitate toward seafood restaurants that have broiled items ...And some restaurants now offer a baked sweet potato instead of a white potato. The sweet potato is fine w/o butter ... My kiss of death is the bread basket that comes before the meal.…

Wow -- hurleycutie, glad you are better. Welcome back!

I take Alli and haven't had any of the gross problems you hear about. I take 2 in the am along with my vitamins, and one at bedtime. What it does for me, without being too graphic, it keeps me regular and maximizes my bowel movements. There's nothing unpredictable or urgent, just more volume ... I do try to eat right, and…

Hello yellow team! Good news and bad news for me. Good news first: I lost 2 pounds last week. I've been sticking to my workout plan, and I also discovered that the exercise list includes calorie counts for throwing darts! Who knew? I compete in a league every Sunday, which is my day off from working out, so I get some…

Hi yellow team! I've been at my brother's home since Thursday, and he has dial up, (horrors) so I haven't been online. Good news is: I am back to 270, so I lost the 2 pounds I had gained last week. Bad news is, it is cold and raining, and I am so not motivated to walk! I know some of you are slogging through snow, so I…

Bummer ... thought I had a good week, but when I stepped on the scale this morning, I was up 2 pounds! Hope it's temporary water gain .. Have been to boot camp twice this week, and tomorrow is my last session. After that, I guess I am on my own for a while. Going to participate in Race for the Cure in Birmingham, AL this…

Went to boot camp this morning. Really tough workout exercise called the blackout game. It was much, much different from the blackout game I played years ago in college! LOL -- just kidding. It was a tough, tough, workout, followed by abs workout. Thank heaven for ibuprofen!

Frozen low-fat multi grain waffles. Melt raspberry jam in the microwave and use for syrup. 1 tablespoon of jam is plenty for two waffle rounds.

Thanks! I am going to make this soon!

Yellow is my favorite color too! I would like to join the team. Starting weight 277 Size 22 jeans Current weight 267 Goal 190 I'm going to boot camp three mornings a week, so I've had two really good workouts, and another tomorrow. Plus a moderately brisk 30-minute walk. Let's go yellow, let's go!
