Peanut butter. Almond butter is really, really, tough to stir and it tastes like plastic => it sat on my shelf, like, forever.

HAHAHA! Love it! Thanks!

It's a marketing buzzword from the "Wellness" industry (in which I used to work), like Healthy. As in, "That looks like a really HEALTHY lunch!" just because I'm eating my greens. That may sound cynical but I've seen a lot of this stuff come and go over the last three decades and the idea that there are too many…

Try a therapist, this sounds like you're beating yourself up a lot or that you're using food to mask anxiety - whatever the case it sounds to me as if you're needlessly setting yourself up to fail over and over again and that's a whole separate problem. Good luck!

I use the free Ad Blocker Plus plugin in all my browsers so never see ads on any sites. Or you can pay $50/yr to go premium and not see ads.

The only magic fat burner was diet pills before they took the speed/crank out of them.

The way electrical resistance devices work is they send a pulse through you and they cross reference a built in chart based on the resistance, your age, and height. My understanding is that the change from one reading to the next should be pretty accurate if you're approaching it in a consistent fashion like you describe…

I'm with arditarose - I reward myself as frequently as I feel like and if it's with food then it's part of my weekly intake. As far as buying new clothes I have to do that every 10lbs anyway! :D

It's the end of the day then so an ounce of whiskey.

Calories. I plan on doing a nice long run in the morning so I'll have plenty in the bank. But also agree with RushBabe_214.

Yeah, it's a perception that man-made things are wrong, not "natural", yet most people won't know man-made (synthetic) chemical from one that already exists in nature, has been extracted from its natural form, then refined for greater effectiveness. Like Aspirin. check out how old this pain killer is:…

In addition to calorie deficit I only run. I have a scale that tells me body fat and muscle composition and over time I've dropped a couple percent of fat and increased my muscle percentage in addition to losing overall weight.

It seems like most weight loss advice *encourages* eating peanut butter as a way to lose weight but I don't really see how this makes sense? It doesn't. There are no superfoods for weightloss unless you count speed (the drug) as a food.

The more you run, the better and more efficient you get at running. If you don't have the time or environment for making your runs longer try running more frequently. I went from running three days a week to running five days without any soreness. I typically run 5K (3.10 miles) since it seems like a good target for when I…

Bingo! What Oldmomma said.

I found that I tend to land on my heels if the heel drop of the shoe is too great. It forces me into a heel instead of midfoot landing because the big chunky heel hits the ground first. Also that I get pain in the muscles around my knees if I wear shoes that don't have a firm enough sole. Like in some way the shoes…

I read a book recently that had a snapshot of how some top level pro runners and triathletes eat. They have treats on their schedule too but it's part of their regular for that day. Are you allergic to gluten or dairy?

I like Runnerbean39m's approach in addition to finding some hills. Creeping up on the distance weekly will help you to prepare both physically AND mentally. If you're not used to a 10K it can feel like a whole lotta time on your hands. If you'r ready it should flow like normal workout time and you'll be done before you…

Buffalo wing sauce with or without chicken. I can get through maybe one slice before I feel like I'm force feeding myself. It's still pizza!

Love my Garmin 310XT and all it's configuration options. The GF had a Polar FT60 but I thought the display was a bit on the small side. She also had issues getting her pulse with the Polar and switched to my Garmin. Know what we found out? It's not the watch it's her, or something about how she sweats or doesn't. After…

Eat more cheese.

My gf followed it for a while. We determined that some people have a mild intolerance and would benefit, some have celiac's and would beneift, but most people are just fine and wouldn't get anything out of it.

Nice shirt!

I don't do this every week but I can make a turkey chili on Sunday that lasts me and the gf all week if I used 40 oz of ground turkey and two cans of beans (rinse well). I worked it out once and it was under 200 Cals for a one cup serving so you could either have more or supplement it with something else.

Thanks for posting that link!

I like red0801's response. Someone who looks like a model? Someone who is of average looks? Someone with less than average looks? Someone who smiles at you, regardless of their looks? Really? Given the right context, anyone who's overtly happy... or within 5 feet of me. To explain: I stopped being shy once I started…

I think it's fair to say that confidence in a woman is more attractive then it's opposite. To me. If there were two identical women that were equally attractive to me and one of them is a down on herself shoe-gazing mope and the other projects well and is *comfortable and happy with herself and her life* - meaning she…
