  • A very belated congratulations to you! Glad that your baby is ok and I hope you are doing well. I had my little girl on September 4th (I was due at the end of August). I was scheduled for a repeat c-section on the 5th even though I was desperately hoping for a vbac. I did end up going into labor on my own on the 3rd. I…
  • I am a mom; feel free to add me! I'd be happy to provide support!
  • With my first, I was induced, so my husband and I enjoyed a nice big meal before heading to the hospital. With my second, I left for the hospital around 5A, and I did not think to eat before I left. Once I was checked in, they told me I could not eat anything except some ice chips. By the time my baby was born at 9:51P, I…
  • With my first, I didn't do much exercise at all, and though I tried to eat healthy, I did not monitor my calories. I was induced at 41.5 weeks. With this one, I've been fairly mindful of my diet and have been exercising 5-6 times per week (weights, walking, cycling, circuit training, yoga, etc) . I am now at 40 weeks and 2…
  • It's difficult to calculate the burn for strength training, but you can log it under the cardio section to get a rough estimate.
  • Congratulations on the birth of your daughter! Glad everything went smoothly and that you are doing well! :)
  • Well, I am at 38 weeks now. I was dilated to 1cm yesterday, and the midwife said she was able to feel the baby's head a bit easier than my previous appointment. I am attempting a VBAC, but they want me to schedule a c-section for sometime around 41 weeks just in case. Keeping my fingers crossed that labor will progress…
  • I did these today as part of my circuit training DVD. I did use weights though. May go back and do some body weight squats later.
  • With my first, I was induced just shy of 42 weeks. She did not want to come out at all! She never even dropped down. I ended up with a c-section due to multiple complications. Hoping to avoid that this time, and so far the doctors are optimistic.
  • Just finished Philomena by Martin Sixsmith and will be starting The Silkworm by Robert Galbraith (JK Rowling).
  • The fitbit does not track heart rate. If you'd like to track your heart rate during cardio workouts, you would need a heart rate monitor.
  • It's difficult to calculate the calories burned for strength training, but you can log it under the cardio section to get a rough estimate.
  • If you want to monitor calories burned during cardio only, you may want to look into a heart rate monitor instead.
  • I don't have any personal experience, but I am glad you asked as I am very interested in reading the responses. I had an emergency c-section with my daughter, and it was actually medically necessary. I am trying for a VBAC with this pregnancy. I am seeing a different group of doctors this time around, and I am so thankful…
  • Do any of you ladies have experience with Bum Genius? I've read good things about them, and bought a few. I thought I'd ask for more opinions before I went crazy and stocked up though. I do have a couple Lotus Bumz, and I ordered a few G-diapers from Zulily the other day as well. I thought it might be good to try a few…
  • It could be scar tissue causing the discomfort. I don't have a tear scar, but I do have a great deal of pain with my c-section scar from time to time. My doctor said it is likely scar tissue or possibly ligaments and as long as the pain is not constant not to worry.
  • My name is Sara, and I have one daughter, Olivia who is 6 years old. She just recently finished K-5. I always loved the name Olivia and chose it long before it became so popular. We are expecting another girl at the end of August. I, too, feel a bit like we are starting over, and I never intended to wait this long, but…
  • I am planning to cloth diaper this time around. I am not extremely knowledgeable about it yet, but I have been reading a lot. I have picked up a few diapers of various brands and am going to experiment to find out which works best.
  • So glad to be here! I am 25 weeks pregnant with my second child. She is scheduled to arrive on or around August 31.
  • I was induced at nearly 42 weeks with my first, and ended up with an emergency c-section. I am trying for a VBAC with this one, but if I go overdue, they will likely recommend a c-section again.
  • Feel free to add me for support! I am due at the end of August. I'm also expecting a little girl! :)
  • I am 24 weeks pregnant with my second child. I was about 12 pounds from my goal when we found out we were expecting, so I am trying to keep my gain in check. I'd love to have more support and to support you! :)
  • Well, looks like this was right for me. We found out today that we are indeed having another girl!
  • Ok, if there are 524G in the can and a serving size is 252G, that means there are roughly 2.08 servings per can (divide 524 by 252). That means the whole can would be roughly 208 calories (2.08*100). I think I did that right. :)
  • According to the link, I am having a girl as well. I would love it if it turns out to be true, as I have all girl stuff from my daughter. However, I'll be happy either way. I think we will find out, but we may keep it a secret from our families.
  • I haven't really slowed down to much and am doing the same stuff as before - zumba, weights, circuit training, cycling, walking/jogging, and yoga. I try to work out 6 days a week, but I am sure I will slow down once I get a bit bigger.
  • Hello! My name is Sara. My husband and I are expecting baby number 2 in late August. I have a six year old girl who is very excited. I was about 12 pounds away from my goal weight when I found out I was expecting. I am in a lot better shape this time around, and I feel pretty good so far (aside from some nausea and general…
  • Rodney Yee's videos are also very good.
  • You could try www.sparkteens.com. It is specifically for ages 13-17.
  • Definitely agree! If you can't do a class, try picking up some of Rodney's DVDs. He is wonderful!
